@@melvinmajtara4949 They looked like animals and slowly lost their human part. But they still have it deep inside them, as you can see by the mother and the bird guy. They helped the human kid
Traduction: "Not going to lie, this is kinda sad. The father got separated from his son and wife, that's depressing." maybe xvemo is turning into an animal too, that's why he is speaking that way x)
Yeah, it’s awful. It’s pretty much the equivalent of them dying. If they lost everything that made them themselves (memories, personality, self control, etc…), both his son and his wife are dead. And it’s a slow death too. He has to watch both of them gradually wither away until there is nothing left.
I like how the entire world is in chaos with humans transforming into mutants - there is constant danger and uncertainty, yet people still have time to have a festival.
Festivals helps boost morale. Rather than being gloomy and sad all the time. We can see Palestinians having small celebrations, dressing up in costumes and singing and dancing just for the children to forget the bombing and the massive genocide that's going on even now.
For some reason I really love Emile's dog. love that the pet knows Emile is going through something and comforts him in the tub. Also I really hate how Fix had to die, he was such a good friend to Emile. 😭
I loved this film. I really do...BUT... This movie feels incomplete. The kid is starting to transform, very organically, even realistically, but then the movie stops. I want a complete transformation! Ugh...
I'm in the same boat. I'd love to see what he was going to transform into (a wolf or a bear maybe since his mom was one) and a sequel would be great, like "x" years later and we see that in the end almost all Humans turned/are slowly turning into animals. And we follow 2 groups, Humans that are trying to survive and the Animals that are getting smarter as they age. But that would look like planet of the ape in the end maybe, so idk^^
@@usedtobekrampus While the narrator didn't say the name, probably due to some copyright bullshit, the video does mention the name as a subtitle right at the start.
I think turning into a mutant might actually be a fate worse than death. You forget everyone and everything you used to be, you forget the people you used to know and love, you attack them, you forget everything you've learned. You become nothing more than a beast, perhaps even less, as your identity is almost completely overwritten, leaving nothing but a husk.
Exactly! I find it wierd that people can look at this and think it’s ‘cute’ instead of horrifying or, at least, sad. It’s like dementia, but 10x more sadistic (and possibly even contagious..?). That being said, it’s is a really interesting concept, and some very interesting themes.
I don´t really think they forget everything, the mother clearly remembered her son even after being fully turned, i believe that they literally get a mix of animals instincts, abilities and they are of course scared and confused. If they were really just midnless beasts they wouldn´t be living together in harmony in the forest like they were.
@@GeekyKiko he wasn't going crazy, though. He was agressive and violent for several reasons : Being enforced "treatment", notably, the scars to remove his beak, which left him with a constant awful pain as it kept growing back over and over to be removed again and again, before he escaped. During the movie, he transforms further and lose it's ability to talk, only being able to do bird sounds. The only reason he is violent is to stay alive, and protect the cameleon, and what brought his desmise, saving Emile, to thank him for giving him freedom, and friendship / love
Throughout history you'll come to find that people fear the unknown and that which they dont understand... its hard to gauge if that would really happen, but I do think there will be people who are ignorant just as much as the anti vaxers or flat earthers would be towards mutations in humanoids like this movie
To be known as additional informations : - At the party, the blonde hair guy is "racist" against the mutants, and think they should all be killed. He also, if I recall well, wanted to take the other guy sword to go hunt some of them, which that person refuses, saying mutants still are living beings, and deserve to live - The blonde guy is the one using the sound tool in the toilets. He does so out of jealousy, because he wanted to be the one having Nina, having spied on them while .. they did it (creep) - Nina appears to have ADHD, hence the fact she couldn't stop talking when Emile first came in class, and why she sees tiny details particularly well - Fix takes care of the cameleon kid, and Emile as well, befriending her. Fix and her, as well as the escaped mutants from the bus, are hunted by the cops, and then the military, during the whole movie. - The movie is also a huge message to how humans can be towards those that are different from them, and why it shouldn't be that way, that there are other ways - There are quite emotional moments in the movie that aren't shown : fix suceeding in flying more and more, Emile being his mutant self with him and the cameleon kid, the end where he has to leave his father (it is shown but it's quite more) The movie is also about the father / son relationships, and how love transcends how one look / is (when it's not their fault) The movie is great, highly recommended if you can find subtitles or understand french ! (and gosh, I generally hate my country's movies)
@@noelwilliams8615 Dude I’m just saying, the name of the movie was _literally_ when the video started. It’s good to help but it was very obvious. Also it seemed like you just wanted likes.
I wonder y there being violent because you got people like those paramedics trying to beat the dude up instead of calming him down like hey we’re here to help you not hurt you!!! I’d do anything to mutate like that ugh!!
So glad I didn't watch this movie. How does it end there? The whole recap should have been the first 15 minutes of the movie. What caused it? Is there a cure? ...... so unsatisfying.
It's about the french disease syphilis. A lot of people in France got it, and it changes your personality. You get expelled from society, become an outcast. People had to learn to live with it 🤷♂️
most of the movies that get recapped are just terrible writing shitshows, but wow this one actually seems awesome.would actually love a whole series on this, or atleast a second movie
