Real men love animals and protect them. Here is a rare example of that. It is such a shame that the animals have to be there at all but at least they are treated with respect and love. I pray they will all, men and animals, survive this.

They're beautiful cats n dogs left behind by their owners. They need food n water to survive n someone's love to cuddle them. Thanks for the soldiers to show love n sympathy to these abandoned pets feeding them. May God protect you all n make plans succeed. Amen.

By this video you can see how hopeful animals are for humans. They are real healers and heartwormers for everybody who has a heart. These soldiers have it. It’s so great to see how these soldiers are caring for these animals when most would abandon these poor creatures to these war torn places. Think about how scary a place like this must be for these animals. Then along comes a human who not only takes you but cares for you and you in turn do the same. It’s wonderful

I found this post and video so incredible. I love how the men took care of the cats, as best that they could. I know that in days to come the men will be fighting the russians and what becomes of those cats?

Since they are feeding and caring for these animals now (And some have brought some to their homes already). My guess is that if at all possible they will grab them if they have to move to another location. It may sound dangerous but atleast with these soldiers they have food warmth, love ect. Otherwise they'd be rummaging around possibly more dangerous places (Not the small amt of protection in the trenches), cold and hungery.

In 2014. People was running from war and many of them had to leave pet animals, so they decided to leave them free, hoping it will give them chance to survive. these animals and later their cubs, found humans and way to survive, living with Ukrainian soldiers in trenches. There is also sad part of a story. I don't know why, but many people was throwing their cats/dogs in bag aside of a road. I'm still thinking, what may be a reason to decide to leave pet animal in bag to die ? Ukrainian soldiers was releasing very big amount of animals from these bags in 2014. That was first generation of trench pets.
