How to identify a caster:
Look for a powder coat: If the caster is gold, it’s likely a heavy-duty caster made by Caster Concepts [0:18 - 0:22].
Check the bearing: If the bearing is a ball bearing, it’s good for maneuverability and rolling [0:23 - 0:26]. Look for grease zerks: If there are no grease zerks, it’s a sealed ball bearing and maintenance-free [0:28 - 0:30]. If there are grease zerks, it’s likely a roller or tapered bearing and requires greasing [0:30 - 0:33].
Consider the wheel material and application: Steel wheels often use tapered bearings due to their capacity, while high-heat applications like furnaces typically use roller bearings [0:33 - 0:38].
Tips for identifying a caster:
Discuss the caster’s application and requirements with your Caster Concepts account representative [1:00 - 1:02].
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Caster Concepts [1:18 - 1:20].
