I Love Ina Garten!!! Her show is still my favorite on Food Network. She is so elegant with her cooking. It's like fine Art. I also love how she and her husband get along so well! 💝
Yes I love Nova Scotia Smoked Salmon as well and I actually use goat cheese and a cream cheese with fresh dill instead of butter unless I have Irish butter and it is fantastic...
Can you imagine the disaster that’ll ensue as people try to cut pieces of the caprese sandwich. Everyone will to touch it in order to hold everything in place, tomato and mozz will slide off and some people will only get bread while others just the filling....bad idea.
Well, I assume you're meant to cut inbetween the different slices of tomatoes and mozzarella. That being said, I would've at least scored those things or something so it'd be easier for serving yourself.
What is so different between US and Indian cooking is that US cooking generates mountains of plastic and paper waste than Indian cooking does. Man why everything has to be frozen and packed in plastics ? They generate a weeks garbage that a Indian household produce in one single meal I guess.
chany all do respect, it is a cooking show.... not saying you have to make some super fancy over the top whatever, but if the purpose of a cooking show is to show people how to cook then doesn’t it make sense to cook?
chany y’all really make me laugh. You make one comment that isn’t wrong and everyone assumes you’re a hater. I’ve seen the majority of her videos so when I find one I haven’t seen I watch it. Was disappointed she didn’t cook anything in this one which is pretty logical considering she’s a chef and has a show specifically aimed at teaching you how to cook. If she posted a video teaching you how to make a sandwich I’m pretty sure you’d be confused too so seriously, just take a breath homie. Everything will be alright man, I promise.
Tristan Harrison you’d probably have to get sushi grade. It also likely wouldn’t taste as good with the butter and bread. Smoked salmon is incredibly salty. Though it has a similar texture to raw, it’s very different.
She is acting, like she is doing a wedding cake or something. It's damn herbed butter and a sandwich. So "earthy" means she would never eaten by herself?
Perry Walton absolutely ! imo salmon, which is a fatty fish, doesn’t call for butter, no need to get hyped up about it. on the other hand, I think it would taste better with cream cheese, which also contains fat. different people are allowed to have different tastes.
I usually offered it with a compound butter (with a good amount of garlic, parsely and a little nutmeg) a nice cream cheese (wich could be either regular or creamy goat's cheese, in either case I could aproach them quite simply with salt, pepper, olive oil, walnuts and honey or cappers, various herbs and some scallions) and always some beautiful sour cream, with a good amount of lemon zest and dill. That way my guests could decide wether if they wanted something to cut trough the richness of the cured (or more rarely smoked) fatty salmon or enhance it for an indulgent final product. Long since those days.
