Facial structure looks the same to me so it can only be paint differences if they did downgrade it. Things like lighting, the type of camera used, even the functions used on the camera will affect how a figure looks. If there has been a downgrade its minor.
I agree aswell, reviews are well lit making it look more like a toy, whereas the Inart shots were taken with professional lighting in order to show the figure off.
I feel the same. The mold created from the prototypes will inherently be slightly softer than the original in terms of the fine detail. Regarding paint work. Well unless the original painter can mass paint hundreds of these, it won't be prototype quality. I would say even if he did, his quality would drop after doing a few.
To me that's the exact same sculpt, no doubt whatsoever. If anything, the downgrade is in the paint application. Also, as always, lighting, lens used and angles are the reasons proto and production look (slightly) different. 100% keeping the PO.
I can totally understand the price for this, Inart came later in the game but managed to differentiate themselves from HT with higher quallity stuff, but, personally, 450 for me would be an Iron Man with moving parts etc like the MK6 2.0
I ordered sculpted hair version and damn, I don't like how flat and plastic that hair came out. I'm keeping him tho, he's the most important character in my collection. On the other hand rooted hair might get messed up over time. I don't know, I have Gandalf from InArt and I have some issues with it... it's not perfect.
It's a very good photo at HT price point. I expected flawless execution from Inart. The sculpt looks much softer.. The chin is wider and the cheeks look fuller. Less gaunt. Paint apps on this particular one shown aren't doing any favors and I so want it to be epic just like Gandalf
Going by the thumbnail, the final product has the better likeness, especially around the eyes, while the prototype looks a lot sharper - exhibit a, the difference between the beards. Perhaps the prototype looks too sharp? Things like sweat, dirt, peach fuzz can make our countenances appear softer to behold. Personally I think this has turned out great, that is assuming the paying customers get the same quality as the "influencers(tm)".
exactly. I don't mind receiving the final even though it lost some details. I just hope I don't end up with the last batch and get the same quality as my Joker.
@@optical20 Yes, I've recently watched your Joker video. ALL of your comments were valid. I pre-ordered my set after watching Justin review the final production pieces at the 2022 Vegas event - while I was very impressed with the jail cell proto, I thought and still think that the purple coat proto looks nothing like Heath. You can still turn your Joker figures around and make them look a lot better by fixing the hair, and if you're prepared to do it, remove the PERS apparatus to give you SERS functionality. It will allow you to get those eyes looking farther into their sides and corners.
The sculpted hair has the exact same face sculpt but looks 10 times better than the rooted hair - its just the hair .....fix the hair and you're good ! 🍷😏🔥
Aragorn is a clear degradation in both sculpting and tailoring and inart knows it...we try to fight so that inart is not hot toys...they advertise excellence
This is a big drop, honestly can't even recognize the person just by looking at this. This is more than just a 5% drop, especially at that price that just ain't right.
I have a few points I wanna make : 1st It’s so exhausting to me to see the InArt brand loyalists in the groups , bashing Asmus , buying InArt LOTR figures ONLY because it’s InArt and acting like that’s the only worth it to the IP and like they are the “ bigger fans “ some even say it on their YT streams …. When they honestly don’t know anything about the IP and a huge portion of those who bought the InArt Gandalf are now selling it , because they were never actually LOTR collectors . 2. I think you could have POed the sculpted hair InArt Aragorn for far less than 400 if you did t depend so much on BBTS because they are the most overpriced store , especially when it comes to InArt . 3 Despite the poor quality of those blogger photos InArt shared of their Aragorn , because the lighting is bad , the hair is not styled well , the eyes are not even properly aligned , it’s quite OBVIOUS imo ( again IMO) that the InArt Aragorn is vastly superior to the InArt Gandalf . Gandalf was simply the hype of the new brand , in hand photos show , nobody styles his hair well , one of his eyes usually is lazy , and aside of those fixable things collectors don’t seems to care to fix before posting a photo - there’s the outfit inaccuracies. And far worse - there is this too shiny skin that makes the figure look like a CGI in basically every photo . If anything , the Gandalf end product is far more downgraded compared to the proto , than Aragorn is . But people made their biases long ago and will ofc stick to them. ( not even mentioning the QC issues galore ) As for Aragorn , not only does the end product looks more screen accurate than the proto. But unlike the Gandalf it does t have a direct competition . Because , I’m sorry if I offend again the InArt worshipers , but the upgraded head Asmus Croen Gandalf is a solid alternative and in a lot of the aspects far more accurate . And idk in hand but in photos looks far more as a person than the InArt one . But the Asmus Aragorn was bad , it just wasn’t good enough . And aside of Tauriel I wasn’t willing to buy a bad product just to have the representation on my shelf . I have two PO on rooted Aragorn because my first , fully paid is on ScamWonderland , and I had to secure a second on another place after the community exposed them . I am super happy I am not a brand loyalist and I can pick and choose what I like from each brand , and hoping JND will start being more active in the same IP with their newly announced Kojun Lite with cheaper than their silicon 1/6 we e seen so far . People need to learn to choose and think for themselves and stop being a herd and brand loyalists . Asmus has great figures , has a lot bad ones as well . InArt are doing great figures , some I like more than Asmus , some I don’t . And that’s fine !
@@CagedSUPERMAN for Gandalf yes , for Aragorn nope . A few crappy photos and 0 effort to style the hair make it “ massive “ only to those that have no idea what they are talking about .
I am sorry, the head-sculpt as good as promo photos shown. People are just fanboying inarts and not accepting that the actual products are just OK. Sure, they are the best in the market, but Aragorn is not as good as people are saying. These photos are not as accurate, lets be frank. There are chinese collectors in the facebook group that share in hand actual photos.
