Inaugural Ride on Jane's Carousel, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Sept. 15, 2011 

Hi Jane. You have created a wonderful centerpiece in your neighborhood. I rode this ride as a young person back in the 70's and early 80's in Youngstown. I really appreciate the hard work and dedication you put into this wonderful treasure. When I get to New York this will be one of the first stops I make. Going to Idora Park was one of my best childhood memories and you have preserved a very important part of it. Thank you very much.

I used to ride the carousel when I was a little girl in the 1940s. Thanks to the family who spent millions to bring this treasure back to life. Thank you oh thank you! It's so beautiful and brings back so many memories. Janice

It's awesome to again have a historic carousel with a real working band organ back in Brooklyn. i believe that the old B and B carousel and organ is also returning to Coney Island.

Another great reason to love New York! Thanks for spending your own money to restore this beautiful carousel. Its a treasure

I have to say, I was really upset when the beautiful willow tree was destroyed to make way for this carousel. But, being a parent, the smiles on my daughters’ faces when they ride the horseys certainly will make up for that. The carousel is another reason to enjoy the waterfront and another reason to enjoy our fine neighborhood. R.I.P. Mr. Willow Tree. Your death shall not be in vain.
