@@nduodiaka1739, for your information, it is not the job of the government to create employment but to create an enabling environment for businesses to thrive and thereby employ. If you don't know, this airport will create lots of jobs and income, not only for Ebonyi people but for all people that will be linked to the use of this airport.

If Ebonyi state Airport could cost 36 billions of naira only, with the standard and customised.. Anambra state own airport should be 15 to 17 billions of naira? How come kai Kai Obiano indebted Anamabra state with more 140 billions of naira, upon over 75 billions of naira Peter Obi kept in Bank... Which Ebonyi IGR is smaller to compare Anambra state IGR... Obiano what did you do with our money 🤑?

Then David umahi used 36 Billion Naira, to build international standard with extra design, plus presidential house 🏠 and all sorts of quality ? Wike of rivers state used Julius Berger in most of his project in River's state and was more cheaper price than what people think, still only local airport that's not completed swallow almost Anambra funds...

The governor has done absolutely well By providing infrastructure in the area of flyover airport shopping mall the medical college, but I'm not impressed with the area of road infrastructure especially the road linking afikpo to abakaliki which he failed to dualized for eight years, rather than invite competent firm like Julius berger /CCECC/ Setraco/ Nigercat or Arab contractor, but he choose to be using cement to be casting major federal road, the one that annoyed me is when I travel to my homeland Last November after spending four weeks in village when I came back to yenagoa, I spent more than (140,000) fixing my car to my own assessment Dave umahi has perform very poor in the area of road infrastructure
Pls where re u from in ebonyi state,because I don't understand what u mean by he performed poorly on road infrastructure..I agree with the part u complained about afikpo abakaliki road,supposed to be a double lane..but the bad sports on that road,is from abaomege to timber shade junction,from abaomege to abakaliki is a smooth ride..from abakaliki to isu my village in onicha LG u wont see a single port hole..and it has never been so since I was born..pls explain better..where's ur home town in ebonyi state.
A State without Oil and Gas...still has best Airport to compare to those THINGs at Enugu,Port Harcourt, Asaba and Uyo. Umahi , We the IGBOS are Proud of you ! IMO State demolish that your Shanty you have at Owerri...
This is all very nice, but is it truly an international airport? When are the first international airlines scheduled to start flying from this airport? Will it end up like Enugu and Anambra so-called international airports? All in name only? Surely, a railway network linking the major towns in Ebonyi, and the rest of the south east, would benefit more people and help boost the local economy. Lack of vision is a terrible thing.
First thought in the right direction in this comment section. I wonder how high an international airport ranks on the list of things important to Ebonyi at this time.
So sad how backwards most people reason, can't you see the multiple infrastructure put out by the able governor the Engineer Dave Umahi School of medicine and many more that requires people from far and wide how then will all these thrive without an international airport. Give honour to whom it's due. Other projects can be done by incoming governor that is reason there's continuity in government.
This looks better than the Anambra International Airport. Better architecture, but why these colours? Hope it receives adequate patronage from ebonyi people, people of northern cross river and benue state.
Big shame to clueless Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State. See great achievements by a governor of a State that was part of old Abia. Kudos to Governor Umahi. I don't like his style of governance but love his relative infrastructural achievements.

Good road network and constant electricity is the Hallmark of good development not this airport, if I may ask how many people in ebonyi state can afford to fly from this charade call airport, this a misplacement of priority
International Airport my foot where even Ethiopian airline will not be allowed by Federal government to operate their, talk less of Europe and American airlines or other countries outside Africa
What is the demand of flight travel in that state to create building of international airport. One way of misappropriation of public funds to siphon public funds into their pockets, while salaries & pension are being owned to civil servants in the state. Advance People of Criminals.

This country is a mess, you borrowed money to build Airport, still borrowed money to do inauguration. Can't they just call one or two people to open the airport instead of westing money.
Abia state doesn't need an airport, the available airports are there to serve them. What Abia state needs now are good roads and a train that will connect them to their preferred airport, cities and towns within the South East...Is this good enough?
I think that's the way several colors are usually used in all Government constructions the Governor initiates.... some people like it...some don't.. it's like a trademark for the Governor... the Lagos state government also does the same thing using several lighter colors on projects...

I LIVE IN THE USA THE AIRPORT I USE IS CALLED BWI BUILT JUNE 24 1950 BUT YOU WILL THINK IT WAS BUILT LAST YEAR. THAT BIG AIRPORT YOU WILL SEE THEY WILL HAVE 2 TOILETS FOR MALES 2 FOR FEMALES, NO TOILET PAPER NO WATER SUPPLY NO AIR CONDITIONER. YOU WILL SEE A JANITOR GIVING OUT TOILET PAPER IN THE HAND AS YOU COME. YOUR LEADERS KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT BECAUSE THEY TRAVEL
