When I first started out with FPV I was watching your videos and learning a lot. Now I had a couple of years not flying, and as I decide to come back and use iNav for my new project... here you are with fresh videos! Love it :-)
I'm glad I found your channel! You made your video accessible to an absolute beginner (me), which I've found to be hard to come by sometimes. Thank you for the help!
These videos are very helpful. Thank you. I have a Matek 411WTE for a fixed wing. I have INAV v7.01. I went through the setup, and got everything working (servos work), but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to get the motor to run. It runs in the motor test under OUTPUTS and is enabled there. Under MODE I have the arming switch set and angle mode. In RECEIVER, when using my TX the throttle (when arming switch is on) goes from 1153 to 1825 (full throttle), but the attached motor does not run. I tried it just on battery, and also with battery and USB connected to INAV. Nothing. I did check the voltage going from S1 to the ESC, and it does not change (stays at the low values) when I apply throttle via TX. S1 voltage does change when I test the motor from the OUTPUTS INAV section. The motor/ESC make the arming sound when I plug the FC in, and all is green on the SETUP tab. I am at a loss as what to try next, in case anyone has some suggestions would be greatly welcomed.
It depends on the flight controller but in my recent build it worked ok.. You can try ut and see and if it causes a problem you can re-flash the flight controller.
I have the Matek F765 Its diagram shows 4 wires coming from SBUS IE G,4v5,RX6,TX4 ..BUT the SBUS socket on my Frsky receiver only has 3 wires...where is the 4th one?
Ummm.HOW do you disable the "external compass" ? I have a Matek M8Q-5883 Do you physically cut off/disconnect the "SDA"&"SCL" wires from the GPS module,or is it possible to dis- "enable" external compass via INAV configuration tabs😳🤔 HELP 🙏
Thank you for these videos! I've been looking to get into flight controllers for some time now and your videos have been extremely helpful and informative. Cheers from Florida, USA!
Thanks for the comment, stay safe and well. Sounds like you guys a are having a tough time. My family was supposed to be out in FL at the end of the month but not now.. Sadly.
I built up a 250 ZOHD dart with caddx and inav and I have been having a blast with it these past month. I would have been able to set this up without your help, THANK YOU!!!!
15:30 oh never realize I could align the servos this way.......... from my experience servo horns ALWAYS get aligned to the 90 deg between 2 notches at true 1500 center, making them offset to either way
I deleted everything on my flightcontroller and then did everything exactly like you. Really everything just doesn't work again, in inav I see like the columns go up and down pitch and roll but my wing does exactly the opposite when I give pitch then makes it roll and if I roll then pitch i cant fix it with reverse servos
My elevons are all mixed up. When I input left aileron, the servos move the same direction as inputting down on elevator. Could this be an issue with setting up mixes in the radio? They look to be set up the same as yours. Help much appreciated
@@Painless360 Thanks, I just got it working right. Just inverted the weight of one of the pitch servos in the servo mixer. Wish me luck on its maiden! Thanks for all you do
I don't think that was the case. I guess that every build is so specific these days (direct solder, right angled pins, straight pins etc.) that it is tricky to cater for all with the pre-populated ones. Soldering isn't too tricky with a little practice and allows for custom, super neat builds with just the stuff you need. Best of luck!
I am having an issue that I cant get figured out. I have followed Painless 360's video on installing INAV on a Matek F411 Wing and A F711 Wing board. I have everything working including testing the motors in the mixers tab. Radio connection is good in the receivers tab. Have GPS lock all checkmarks are green. But when I disconnet from the board and try to test the motors I get nothing. I do get all the tones when plugging in. I have all servos working. I get the green light come on when I flick the switch to arm. I thought it might have been the crossfire receiver so I switched it out for a new one. I am totally puzzled.. Any ideas??? Both boards act the same..
Hi, thank you so much this series, I’m really drawn to the idea of iNav especially the RTH function, and maybe the stabilization function. I’m currently building a 3m electric sailplane with the graupner radio system which has all sorts of wonderful clever mixing, trims, etc with flight modes. Is it possible to use all of the transmitter’s smarts, and then have the RTH set up separately on the iNav, and maybe the stabilization? This way when flying normally, the iNav is just a pass through? Thanks
INAV only cares about TAER and a little about flaps. Advanced mixing for things like CROW, REFLEX etc. can be done in the mixer but I've not tried it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UOlcEpSsdfw.html shows the capabilities. Best of luck
I soldered everything to my f411 wse including my receiver, it works fine while connected via usb and its bound to my radio but when i just plug in my battery the receiver wont turn on, any idea why?
Hi I have any issue with my inav build. When I throttle up it pitches up like it wants to go high alpha. It's perfectly balanced and flies well at cruise throttle. Can you help with what can be the problem?
I'd check that on the radio when you increase throttle the pitch controls don't move. See my INAV 3.0 FW mini series playlist for all the latest build steps. Best of luck.
You're watching the videos before they are public using the playlist. This series is still being created and filmed. While you wait you can check out my video on Autotrim and levelling the plane... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-13VVsmsUj1A.html
Hello Painless360! I have a probøem with my Matek F722 Wing. In this video at about 8 min 20 sec in the timeline you cheer over the GPS indicator turning blue. What if it doesn't??? I've checked the cabling over and over, checked the GPS settings in the configurator, but it stays red. I have a BD182 GPS (bought on Ebay), I've tried different baud rates, but I can't come over this hurdle. can you help me? I may have to bay a new one
I am running into the issue where once I have sats, the auto launch and motors respond but the servos don't move at all, I can getting signals on the receiver tab and the servos are moving in the mix tab also
I've never seen that. All of the steps I use to get it working are in the series. Not sure what would stop the servos from working when the GPS locks up... I'd check that you only have ARM and ANGLE selected in the modes..
@@Painless360 I just saw one video you mentioned test servos I worked for a bit one I put it together but I guess they burnt out shortly after, my mini ar wing kit had them pre installed I guess I have to rip them out and replace them, do you always have to set your RTH or does it auto set when you arm?
Hello! Quick question I have my flaps working properly with the TX on my recruit but when I test it in Angle mode it acts like pitch and roll are backwards. When I tilt to the left both go down, right they both go up. Tilt forward/down left does up and right down. Tilt back is opposite. Do you have a vid to fix that?
Thanks for these videos @Painless360, great content. I’m interested in how to place my antenna in the ND, will you be doing an electronics install video? I’ll be using a crossfire nano rx and either 2.4/5.8 video with a side-feed antenna.
Paying alot of attention to these tutorials lee as we ordered the wing you recomended.gonna be fun watching the kids fly it and trying myself lol.they are well hyped for it lol.no session today as typical uk rain lol.went towork had to come back cause started bloody raining and can not lay bricks in the rain.cant take group out either cause rain.rsin rain rain.great work lee keep it up my friend and stay safe.
@@sufysprojects2689 ar wing.must be popular cause was out of stock in unmanedtech.we needed a strong cheap one and lee recomended this.we just had some parts donated from foxeer so theyare gonna be used in this.wings are new to me and the group.just wanted to broaden our skill set.
@@sufysprojects2689 not my kids lol i teach a group that are introuble alot to fly.hopefully change there lives.so far so good.had alot of donations from multiple companys and lee @Painless360 has helped alot.my life was changed with flying so i chose to help our younger generation who are introuble constant.they constantly approached me while flying and they were amazed and loved it so i took origionaly a few kids whos parents i know well and who were introuble then things went from strength to strength.donations allowed me to teach more and now teach 13 children.its great.
Hello, thank you for the video ! I am very insterested to do a similar build :) Can you tell us which battery did you use in this setup ? it seems to be a zippy 5000mah with XT60 but how many cells ? I will be more than happy with a link to purchase it ! Thank you for all your videos they are very helpfulls !
The resistance is actually measured by using current and voltage in the meter. As you start to measure the resistance a small current flows through the capacitors and charges them. As they charge they develop a voltage that reduces the current that can pass and you see that read as a higher resistance on the meter. I hope that made sense. This is way if you see this exact behavior and have competed a thorough check of the wiring you don't need a smokestopper.
Hi Lee, I'm just waiting for this flight controller to arrive to fit in to my new Bush Mule v2, can you please explain why the RX and TX leads on the GPS need to be reversed on the FC and is this specific to only this model of FC or is it the same with all of Matek's FC's??
