Very interesting! Breathe and language seems to be a vital element of practice, I wonder if picking up both this and Kinesic Magic would cover a lot of often overlooked aspects?

Have you read his Kinesic Magic book? That one seems to have gone under the radar somewhat but its very useful, not many other texts dealing with posture and gesture so you're left mashing up western magic with taoist practices or something. Love the channel!

Pre-orderd, thanks! On a similar vein I orederd Pantographia (Black Letter Press) after it flashed up briefly on the Watkins Bookshop tour video (I also grabbed an audible book after that video). These longer format review videos definitely make it easier to add things to a basket.

The (Amazon) list goes ever on... I'm trying to be restrained with my book buying because we're planning to move next year. Kindle copies are ok for some types of books (fiction, certainly, but also Gallery of Magick types of books) but in general, for me, non-fiction is best on paper. Watching your channel does NOT help! 😄

I am excited for this book! I have been wanting to get into learning and using my breath and voice more in my craft. I definitely want to learn more about what the Greeks thought, I already kind of know pneuma. I am also interested in how Hinduism and Buddism think about it. I'm guessing it tells you the difference between incantation, enchantment and chant? I'm 12 years into my practice and I'm still unsure about the difference 😅

The fact I’m asking gives my answer! I am baptised catholic however, now consider myself a christian. I nearly died and thankfully Drs saved me, the Catholic priest is wanting to give me my Holy Communion at my bed side. I’m very conflicted about this as I am finding it hard to evaluate the situation (possibly due to being in ICU for a long time). Views and video recommendations etc would be greatly appreciated.

Communion is a beautiful thing - essentially saying: we are all one body ultimately, and all one Mind that will be joined in the end. The trouble with Catholic communion is that they BELIEVE that some people WON'T be joined and shouldn't have "access" to communion... But that's not how it works 😄 it's a magical symbol - a reminder that we ARE the body of God, (we eat food from the Earth and drink fermented juice of fruit, and this is the body and blood of God becoming a part of our own metabolism, like it becomes a part of our neighbour's metabolism... Is there any part of our material metabolism that isn't of the material world/the earth?) It is not a magical transformer to "turn us" into the body if God. I enjoy taking communion every time I eat ANY food and drink ANY drink with friends or family - enjoying the knowledge that we are ONE - I don't necessarily need a self-entitled "keeper" to say magic words over it first. The act itself is the magic. 1 Corinthians 11: 24-25 has Jesus saying: "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’" WHENEVER you drink it, mind you, not just "when a trained priest has done magic stuff to it"... I would say accept the communion gladly, in the knowledge that every single one of us will be (and in fact already are) joined in the end, whether we like the idea or not. The Catholic church accepts the idea that you will be joined to them - great, partake in that... too!
