This is so awesome. My daughter is in nursing school preparing to graduate and this will be so helpful. I'm old school and wish we had something like this when I was preparing for NCLEX. Our tests were over two days with four increments of testing, 3 hours each and fill in the circles. LBVS I have to laugh when I see new grads upset because they have to wait 48 hours. We waited 8 weeks!
Hospital doctor: “Here, use this, it will really help you.” I’m a Covid patient recently out of hospital, but received NO explanation like this of the connection between Covid pneumonia, spirometer etc. Thank you so much. I never knew I wd really have to WORK on re-inflating my own lungs. I thot the supplemental O2 WAS the cure, but it is not. It does not re-inflate the alveoli.
I was sent home breathless in the ER because of COVID. Doctor refused to give me a steroid or inhaler. She told me to go home as COVID is uncomfortable. Our healthcare in the US is despicable. Pretty sad we have to come to RU-vid to learn how to fix our lungs and Amazon to buy the breathing device.
I find your videos very helpful, as a foreign educated nurse out of the nursing field for five years and considering taking Nclex, these are just wonderful! Thank you for all you are doing.
Hello Naomi :) You're most welcome! I'm honored to help you! Thank you for watching them and for taking the time to leave this kind comment. I wish you the best in your studies!
I was given the device after outpatient hernia surgery. No instructions on how to use. After a week of using it all wrong I found this video first. Very informative. Thank you.
Very Informative. Although this is geared towards nurses, the information is helpful for anyone who is trying to improve lung health. The explanations regarding the device and the importance of deep breathing is invaluable. Thank You for taking the time to make this video. Good things to you.
This is the Best video of the many I've watched. Much more detail. Very sad while I was on hospital they didn't explain in great detail or expressed how important it was to use. Do I Thank You for being so thorough.
In my second semester and finally feel confident in teaching my patient how to use this after looking at this video. Going to watch your COPD video next. Such a big help thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind comment! I'm so happy you like my videos....thanks for watching them! I hope you liked the COPD video too :) Thank you again! Best wishes in your studies!
Thank you Sarah. Your videos have always been my saving grace. I appreciate your effort, time and resources you invest into making this video. Happy Christmas to you and your family. Please don’t stop making the videos.
Very good information. I got one of those incentive spirometers back in June when I had surgery. After watching your video I now realize that I have not been using it the proper way,
Thank you.. I have been looking for your channel everyday for every lesson that you cover because they are really really helpful and very informative especially when you break them down so easily. I hope you continue to upload new contents. :)
Very awesome! Thank you, Jayson! I appreciate you always coming to channel to watch the lessons. Every week there will be new, fresh content uploaded for you all. Glad you like it!
I love your videos, they help me adjust to protocols here in the US as I am a foreign trained Nurse. please could you do a video on METERED DOSE INHALER. Thanks alot for the good work.
I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos. Thank you for watching them and for taking the time to leave this comment. I will add your request to my list :) Thank you for it.
Was given one of these after open heart cardiac surgery. I'm 69 yrs old & 180lbs. How far up the tube should I be able raise the pistol up the tube ? I can get up to 1500. It has made a significance in my energy expenditure trying to breath.
My mom is 65 and she has severe sleep apnea.. She needs to have a gallbladder removal surgery under general anesthesia but doctors say it is very risky.. Has anyone here gone through this experience? Or do you know someone with sleep apnea who went through surgery? Please reply 🙏
I am recovering from a broken sternum. I am 63years and 5 9. It's been three weeks sine the break. I can get the top of the indicator to 2,750. Is that good?
Hi. I like your videos. I found them very helpful. Im planing to take nclex very soon. What would you suggest beside your videos and quizzes? Thanks in advance.
I definitely recommend practicing as many NCLEX style questions as you can. I also recommend the Saunders Comprehensive Review Guide...it is a great book that contains many practice questions. I used it to prep for NCLEX. I wish you the best when you take NCLEX. Thank you for watching my videos and for taking the quizzes!
hi , tnx for the video and there is something I want your view on it , I am a nurse and my age is 31 and I made a decision that I wana be a doctor, so I was asking that it is my wish so should I go for it, what is ur opinion for me, I think and gut feeling is that you can give me better advice.
Hello! Thanks for watching my videos! Absolutely! If you want to be a doctor...go for it! I've worked with several doctors who were nurses first, and they are EXCELLENT doctors because they have this natural bedside rapport that makes the patient feel at ease. Plus, the experience you have as a nurse gives you advantage in medical school and when you are starting out as a doctor. You know how the medical system works and how diseases present because you've been there providing care as a nurse. I wish you the best...follow your gut! Best wishes!
Hi Sarah, your videos really helped me a lot. thank you. However I have been searching proper suctioning for tracheo and endotrachea.I hope you will make one.I have seen but not accurate enough, hyperoxygenation was not mentioned mot of the videos.
my professor said so encourage patients to use it at every commercial break (if they're watching tv that is)-- i think this is super helpful tip for them to remember and keep them on tract:) good lucj
