Actually, this is how the Windows 1.0 is made; So, someone who I do not know stole the fake Windows 95's startup sound, and they edited it to a high pitch but they didn't include the whole thing from the Windows 95 startup sound, they cutted it and used half of the sound, that's how it's made.
The startup sound consists of 3 things: the windows 2000 beta 3 builds 1983-2003 startup sound reversed, the level up sound from the Spring Weekend game and the windows 98 shutdown sound reversed.
Windows NT 5.0 was not "never made into an os", nor was it the basis for windows 2000. It was the name Microsoft gave windows 2000 when it was in development.
0:15 Build 445 introduced it, there was a glitch though in which it would overlap with the other sound, this would be fixed in Build 450, which was in the April Test Release phase.

Another thing, Windows NT 5.0 had 2 fake shutdown sounds, not just one, one of which was the 2000 Beta 3 Startup Sound, the other was the NT 5.0 Startup Sound in reverse.
Build 445, the second April Test Release build was when the Windows 95 Startup Sound was introduced. Build 1671 was when the NT 5.0 sound was introduced? Build 1602 introduced the 98 Sounds. Whistler used 2000/ME sounds until Build 2481. Build 2476 was when the 98 Sounds were replaced with 2000/ME Sounds. Later Post Reset builds of Longhorn used XP’s Startup Sound but the Shutdown Sound was Vista’s Logoff Sound.
@@THEthe-cz2tr really? I used to have a Windows 7 laptop, which was upgraded to Windows 10 but I accidentally dropped it because it was too slow, and it played the startup sound just fine.
Note: i dont think windows vista build xxxx uses windows xp startup and shutdown sound, i remember there is windows longhorn/vista build uses windows xp startup sound and uses windows vista logoff sound for the shutdown. windows 8-10 does not have shutdown sound.

Windows 2000 beta build 1949 sound is taken from ThemeWorld. I think shutdown sound is fan made. How to fan made this shutdown sound, 1. Scary effect of startup sound. 2. I don't know.

Yes, windows 8x and 10 didn't have a shutdown sound. The startup sound doesn't play in these versions because it is disabled by default. You need to enable it in the sound properties dialogue in the control panel.
I would like to give some more information. In Windows 8/8.1/10 startup and shutdown sounds are correct but by default startup sound is disabled and it can be enabled in sound settings. Even shutdown sound still can be found in files, it isn't used. Didn't you know this or just forgot to mention?
What you are clearly implying is that longhorn is a totally different os to vista. It's not. Longhorn was the codename for vista and if longhorn was a separate release, Windows vista would have an entirely different codename.
No. That sound is fake. Windows Whistler never used that sound in any build. Whistler used 2000 sounds until build 2481 and then build 2485 switched to the XP sounds (build 2481 had XP sounds but didn't use them by default).

Actually, vista beta used XP’s sounds until build 5840.16384, not rtm. I do understand that some beta 2, RC1 and rc2 builds use the final logoff an shutdown and one build uses the both of the final logon and logoff sounds as startup and shutdown sounds.
