Is it weird that all of these old startups give me a nostalgic feeling? It feels.. strange. Also, the style of the Windows back then.. a nice nostalgia to it..
4:59 One of my earliest memories. me waking up at like 4 am and getting on my computer. The sound was loud as hell and i almost woke up the whole neighborhood. i went back to sleep after.
allthough, i kind of went back in time a little, windows 7 was always what i used and i needed a computer for me so we got out our old windows xp and its amazing man so its the most rememorable for shore
I spent most of my life with Windows XP so that will always be the most nostalgic. I'm not sure if it's because of the nostalgia, but who else thinks it had the best sounds? They were so symphonic.
I miss windows xp so much. You see it was the best os of my childhood.Other windows like fucking 10 or 8 with 20 ring sounds cant even give you 1%of windows xp did.I enjoyed every second of using Windows xp.:((((( :'(

Then i was bummed about windows xp security's being over so they HAD TO SWITCH TO 7 APPARENTLY I'm over it now as we've already switched to 10

FuNfAcT mY dUdE: The longhorn sounds are fake, they're fanmade, and were NEVER ever used officially. longhorn had Windows XP sounds, and the internet probably made everyone think these were real. but they're not.
Of course!!! I'm say: XP IS THE BEST! And some peoples say "Longhorn is the best!" I hate Longhorn sounds, because in the merry times I don't knew Longhorn!
ahhhh Vista or 7 (I cant remember lmao) was my very first laptop and then it just stopped working and I lost all my documents :( I think I have windows 10 now.
I will tell you how that’s a roast Well, computers have their own logic and we have our own Computer logic is like if your mom is a little fake she is still their Human logic is like if your mom is a little fake she is still 100% fake and doesn’t exist Now understand?
Not all builds of Longhorn looked 'nice'. The Plex theme used until 4042 was somewhat bland looking, and the Slate theme wasn't attractive. Longhorn's Aero looked nice though, and I like most of the Longhorn wallpapers.
I don't know what's up with the cheer horns upon shutdown. And I don't know what went wrong with the later versions of windows, but the older versions have some badass startup sounds. I die every time I hear that tada sound xD *ORGASMS UPON HEARING XP AGAIN*
I'm why, but when I set my desktop to one of the backgrounds that came with Windows 7, it changed a lot of my Widows sounds to better fit the background theme. It also got rid of said sounds if you changed backgrounds. Then I stupidly upgraded to Windows 10 with said background in use. Now I can't get rid of the sounds. Oh well they are better than normal Windows sound anyway (aside from the error sound which they somehow made more cancerous).
boot time of windows 10 is faster. everything else, windows 7 (in case of performance). thats why i reverted back to windows 7 right after 1 hour of windows 10 installation
I don't know why, but the Longhorn's sounds struck nostalgia into me... even though I don't ever recall using something with Longhorn. The startup and shutdown sounds were super familiar to me, almost as much as the XP ones... but I swear I never owned a computer with Longhorn before...
Longhorn was the Beta, or Demo for Vista. Therefore it was never publicly released. But the sounds do have similar chords to 2000/ME, XP and Vista.. maybe that’s where your nostalgia comes from
