I know im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I love any tips you can give me
2 questions Is it an official piaggio product? If not won’t it effect warranty claims? I know someone who got their knuckles rapped by Piaggio for fitting one on there daily test scooter.
I was looking at this part number, which applies only up to 2022. Does it look like one is needed to increase speed for 2023s and anyone hearing about release timing?
Great idea!!! But I think I found something even better for my Sei Giorni: I put the rear tire (not the rim!) to the front, and installed a bigger tire in the back. Michellin makes 140/70/12 tires which fit nicely into the rear. Same effect, but even better driving stability! Thanks for all your amazing videos!!!!
@@alonsogalvez555 Extremely well. Handling in curves and potholes is excellent, top speed increased by 4 mph, the whole scooter feels a lot more mature. Make sure you switch the back tire to the front (with rim), and in the back you install the 14/70/12. Have fun!
Long story, I bought a 2019 Vespa Super Tec 300 HPE [high performance engine] for batting around. There is a "tonewheel" on the back wheel which sends a signal to the ABS and as a rev limiter for the back wheel. It also send a signal to the speedo. You can buy, from Germany, an upgraded tonewheel which allows for a higher top speed and a more accurate speedo. [Not for sale in Germany though] I took the back wheel out and tried to remove the 5 allen cap button head screws. No way could I move them. I had actually read that Vespa puts the screws in with really vicious locktite because they didnt want anyone to change the tonewheel. Well, I first rounded the internel hex, I then cut a slot with a small disc grinder and cutting wheel and tried moving the screws with an impact driver, all the while using heat as per "Robot" in the hope of getting the screws to move, nothing happened other than shearing off the heads! But, nothing scares me, I was an Engineer on Super Tankers and South African to boot. Nothing, but nothing scares us! I had to deflate the tyre so that I could clamp the back wheel into my Drill Mill and I machined the screw out and cleaned everything up with a 6mm tap, tomorrow I will go out and buy 5 more button head allan cap screw and use a more gentle locktite. We shall overcome!
This upgrade is definitely happening. I'm interested to know if I drive daily for 5 or 6 miles at 70+/*mph on the freeway, am I shortening the life of my HPE300 engine on my Supertech? I'd rather not purchase a maxi as well as a GTS, but am I lopping years off its life?
You should be totally fine, granted you keep up with all your scheduled maintenance and just keep an eye on all your fluids etc. We have many customers and employees that freeway commute on their 300's daily. You should have no problem doing 5-6 miles.
Hi Robot. I was looking for such upgrade. I am riding 2016 Vespa Primavera 150cc iget and it does max. of 68 mph. Can I use the same parts and instructions for getting the top speed? If not please advice. Thank you and stay safe!
I purchased ABS OVERDRIVE TONE TIMING WHEEL DISC REAR VESPA GTS HPE 2020-2022 ONLY (NOT GTV SEI GIORNI OR 2023/2024 GTS HPE2) and it was installed on the scooter and after that the speedometer did not work and did not read the speed. Is there a solution for this? Bike frame number ZAPMD3104N5001196
Maybe its cause i got a full windsheild, mabe cause im fat (+250), but the speed didnt get faster. However, the speed was corrected on the speedometer.
Why do I not live down the street from your shop instead of on the West Coast of Florida? Why is it your shop on the West Coast of Florida instead of San Diego? These and other questions plague me every time I see one of your videos it would be great to be in there, having you take care of my Vespas if only life were that simple thanks for another great video
Man, thanks for this. But how and where to find this part in Europe? Is it available at the SIP Scootershop? Can you hint me? Thanks and god bless u all for this content.
Hi i have a vespa gts super 125cc 2018 model. How dibi recalibrate as i do not have an asr button. I tried holding brake and start button but nothing happens?
I installed the ABS overdrive tone wheel on my 2020 GTS 300 hpe Notte. Prior to the mod, my scooter would reach ~85 MPH and the speed sensor would kick in and the engine would decelerate. After installing the tone wheel, the maximum speed is 79 MPH and the speed sensor never kicks in. I am guessing that the speedometer was not accurate prior to the modification, so by changing the ABS overdrive tone wheel, the speedometer is reading accurately now.
That's exactly correct. This will "trick" the computer and make it so the rev limiter won't kick on so early and will give you a much more accurate speed reading. The Vespa speedos have always been notoriously optimistic. Thanks for chiming in with your experience. Thanks for watching!
@Vespa Motorsport , if I understand this correctly the ABS will kick in later or earlier due this part? Or did the producers programmed it als correctly in the disk?
So are the holes in the tone ring 10% larger than the stock ones proportionately to get the 10% reduction in reported speed? Reason I ask is I need to modify wheel speed on the front wheels on a race car I'm building, where I'm running a larger diameter rear wheel and need to "slow down" the front.
I did it on a euro4 HPE, no cutting out at top speed but no improvement in the actual top speed either, could not get it past 75mph, even crouched down, unless dowhill. Overall pretty disappointed with the hpe performance, especially in higher speeds, hard to believe in the 24hp, mine was broken in at almost 6000miles as well. Many large scooters pull all the way to the top, and reach 85 easily, where the HPE starts to be really sluggish around 65mph. Therefore it is also pretty unsafe at highway speeds because you cant really get out of the way. Ended up selling mine mostly for the lack of top end reserve, also quite a gas goppler, does launch pretty well but not that much better.
I admire Robot and have bought several parts from Scooterwest (which btw has great customer service) that work great. I've also used his how to videos successfully. But a flat rear tire replacement gave me a reason to purchase and have this part installed by a reputable dealer but I found no difference in performance. I don't know if the speedo is more accurate (which is really why I purchased it-I don't intend to go anywhere near the bike's top speed except to test it) but I went on the Interstate to test the top end speed and when the speedo approached about 79 mph, the '22 300gts bucked and lost power exactly as it did with the factory installed tone ring. Maybe I'm missing something in the explanation. The indicated speed might be more accurate because several times I was on different roads where cars ahead seemed to be going at exactly the speed limit which is what my speedo was indicating.
Hi, I've installed the speed wheel and confirm that the maximum speed is increased from 121km/h to 128km/h (GPS) whitout windscreen. The tachimeter is now allineate with the GPS.
Hi Giorgio! I did the same too on my HPE. I changed to Pirelli angel and fitted the disc following by the ASR recalibration. I got the medium vespa screen on. I do have noticed true128 km/h according to the GPS. But the acceleration is slower.....I don't know what else to do....maybe a secondary gear could help?
Did you have controlled the roller weights? The abs wheel don't change the accelerato. My be that the real speed that you now see change the prospective and the sensation
@@giorgio8920 Roller weights remain the same. I got only 9000 km on the speedo/ ready for the 10000 km incoming service. I don't know my friend. I feel that the acceleration is a little slower than before. Maybe if I change the belt on the service will see a little bit different sense. Otherwise I 'll go for a secondary gear.
Is possible that the shape of the roller is unregular by the use and this compromise the prestation. After the 10k control, if is the same, the only solution for get off the dubt is compare with another hpe...
@@giorgio8920 My dear Giorgio, appreciate for your immediate reply and assistance. That's exactly what I want to do. Awaiting for the 10K in order to check this out, hoping for a positive result...
I am still unclear... does the new "GTS-HPE-SPEED" part correct the speedometer error, or the "HPE ASR SYSTEM CALIBRATION PROCEDURE", or both together? I am not interested (well a little) in increasing my top speed, just correcting the 5 to 7 MPH difference of actual speed on the road. I have been clocked doing 5 to 7 MPH under what the speedometer states.
Un saludo Hello greetings from Spain, I have a vespa GTS300 HPE from June 2019, I have a 140/70/12 mounted on the back and I have mounted the disc but now it does not set speed and I have the fixed engine failure, ASR and ABS warning lights on. I have tested with a gps and the maximum speed is 125km / h. How can I go back to the standard state so that my speed can be set again and have ASR and ABS activated again. All the best
If it has the HPE motor, it will work. You will need to calibrate the ASR (watch our tire change video linked in this video). There's a detailed instruction on how to do so in the description of this video. The rest is taken care of by the computer. Thanks for watching!
ROBOT. How does this affect the ABS brakes. So the wheel speed is being read different for the front and back wheels? Would it make sense to do the front and rear wheels to mirror the wheel speed for ABS function?
Hi robot, love your videos , watched you put a malossi belt and rollers on a bv 350 and would like to put one on mine. But can’t find a video for a 300 ie bv 2018 ie so is it the same as the 350 bv . Thanks from John from England .
We only have the 350 in the States right now, but the steps should be pretty much the same for the job. Also look at any of the Vespa 300 videos where we doa similar job. Besides the body work, the engine architecture is very similar. Just make sure you get the correct replacement parts for your model. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
I'm in the UK with a brand new 300 super gts. Can I ask my garage to do that, is it legal (in Europe)? Is it safe? (road safe in Europe). What is the disk called and where do you get it from? You said is German right? Thanks guys. Stay save.
You can purchase one from our website, the link is in the description of this video. We can't really comment on the legality of it, as every country/state will have different regulations. Thanks for watching!
Can you do a Dino test with this part. Has it been tested at all? I'm asking cause I'm very interested. It seems an inexpensive part to improve the performance of your bike, compered to Alosis or other parts? I'm puzzled, thanks.
Haven't Dynoed it yet, but check out our previous video comparing the old GTS to the new HPE. The HPE's top speed is limited by the computer coming from the rear wheel sensor. All this part does is trick the computer and actually gives you a more accurate speed ready on your Speedo as well. Stay tuned for more updates on this... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AeSY9VhEVqE.html
Love how you guys included the full sequence of steps to calibrate the abs system in the description. That move, is Designer approved as is this clip. ❤️🛵🤖
Fitting a Speedwheel may well invalidate your warranty and will have a negative effect on your ABS. Whether it’s worth it or not is up to the individual.
