In my childhood some of my friends use to bowl fast. I use to try hard but no results. My bowling speed continued average. One day my physics teacher told me you r gud in physics. The points you have written in your physics exams r not copy paste from note or text books. But they r perfect. So I started using and utilising my physics brain on generating pace to my bowling. I learned that those two guys bowling fast in my team were natural gifted. They were not using any artificial technics. Only thing they were putting effort was the physical energy while releasing the ball. After studying the facts i came upto a conclusion that rotation speed of the arm is the core of fast bowling. I tried and tried. No results. I am not able to rotate my arms fast before release. Why..? Then I started right from the run-up. I tried every thing that Mr. Ramesh sir taught in this video. This was in late eighties and I didnt have the previlage of having TV at home. Got to watch cricket in tv whenever i visited some of my relatves. Then one day I made it. I discovered the secret of fast bowling. I was as happy as Archimedes, and wanted to shout Eruka...Eureka .. but not yet.. thats only theory you have in your mind. Not proven practically. I called one my friend and went to the ground. I asked him to keep the stumps. Had a run-up and without any effort my arms rotated like a well oiled machine part. My friend behind the stumps was stunned. Then came evening. Divided into two teams. As usual my captain called me to bowl after seven overs. Fielders were placed in boundry lines and the wicket keeper stood near the stumps. Batsman was quite relieved to face a slow bowler. The first bowl was outside the off stump and went above the keepers head for a boundry (bye). I asked the keeper to stand back. Second ball the same as first, keeper catches it. Third one hit the batsman's body. Now the batsman looked afraid to face the bowler. Fourth ball hit the stumps fifth ball a catch and sixth one hit the batsman... I became the opening bowler for our team.. many asked how i attained it. As jealousy boy I never disclosed. My answer was " just by practice". But now at forties, also after watching Ramesh sir's this video I will share some tricks to the local lads. Kya pata koi bret lee ya akhter chupa ho mere mohalle mein..
