“One of the biggest reasons we don’t achieve our goals is we say yes to too many things that are not our priority and no to too many things that are our priority.” - Jay Shetty ✨
Ed, I love the intensity of this interview with Alex. You even called it out, you usually work people to the answer but you just need to prompt Alex once on the topic and Alex delivers the point in an extremely effective manner.
“The deeper I get into business, the more I want to live a long time.” 55:30. Made me think of Charlie Munger, now 98, and still doing interviews and deals
Alex is brilliant, he has a way of articulating complex concepts into lay terms that we can apply into our lives. I was hoping it was a longer interview. Thank you Ed !!
I can relate fully to Alex's feeling of anger with his Dad, it was literally my motivation for many years, all because 'whatever I did wasn't good enough, so everything I did was to be good enough for him, not me'. But ultimately, I was being good enough for a fictional character. It took a lot of healing and realisation, but it's worth the work. Great interview.
Thanks for having Alex on the show Ed! I followed Alex's channel a while before this interview and he dropped a lot of value on this episode! It was great to hear about business failures as well as successes! So many hosts have guests who only talk about success and millions but I like hearing about triumph of spirit in spite of the struggles and challenges and how people got up after massive business failure. Great show Ed! I admire your content and your dedication to making others lives better! Greetings from South Africa 👍🔥
Incredible. 2 months ago a friend shared an Ed Mylett podcast with me. 3 weeks ago I find Alex Hormozi while researching a business idea. So much gold in this video. Thank you, gentlemen!
I came here to learn how to trade after listening to a guy on radio talk about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k. Somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
I’ve been on both end of the spectrum, I was lnvesting on my own for about 3years, did my own study and analysis before actually buying, things became rather difficult after the pandemic which was right about when I reached out to a portfoIio-advisor for guidance, It’s been over 2 years and I’ve scaled up a stagnant reserve of $280K to $700k in just about 24months.
@@cuddyb9631 Interesting. I've a lump sum doing absolutely nothing at all in my bank account, i wanna gets something started with it. You seem to be doing excellent for yourself, how do you achieve this?
@@Natalieneptune469 I am being guided by "Susan Agnes Hancock" who I found on a CNBC interview where she was featured and reached out to her. She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I focus on. You can look her up online if you care supervision.
I would literally ask Alex if I can pay him for his list of "must read books". This guy has so much knowledge and what is really rare is how easily and articulate he explains all these concepts about business.
OMG! What a stud. So young so bright. Thank you Ed.. You do have the best people on your show. Keep the flag flying. I learnt a lot today and everyday.

Right now I’m literally in the beginning stages of building a software company in the Cannabis industry based on a revolutionary idea, and I definitely relate to using what you have around you. At this point I’ve assembled a small team of fellow college students to put in intense effort and delayed gratification to get it going. We’ve got a marketer, 3 programmers, and a UI/UX Lead, all people I’ve made connections with in college. We’re gonna enjoy the journey of leveraging our group efforts while we’re still in college with your amazing words of advice. I love your videos as I’m a 22 year-old Christian guy in Computer Science striving to be a LEADER, not just a BOSS, and your videos have helped me tremendously. I’m also no longer operating under the perspective of a 24-hr day for about 3 weeks now and it’s awesome!! Awesome video!!
Now the market seems to be bouncing back but a lot of people lost huge sums already. No one talks about that. To those who lost big time via taking leverage position and those who are panic selling & buying.. be strong. Please you have to be serious with your financial life by all means in this new year. Navigating the crypto space alone without proper guidance is very dangerous. Big thanks to Mr, Josef Dennis, a crypto expert who has upgraded my financial status. This bear market has been favourable to me. Mr. JOSEF has also been researching all charts, trades, and methods on BTC, which has lately helped my portfolio grow from 4.8 to 47 BTC.
I have saved myself from all the hassle that chaotic market causes. These days the best way to come into the market space is reading, studying, patience and seeking guidance when necessary, due to my line of work i can’t handle my portfolio so i just copy the trades of ''Mr, Josef Dennis'', a FA i saw on Bloomberg business news. It’s been smooth since then.
I never had the opportunity to benefit until i meet Josef Dennis. that's when i started earning real good at first I invested 3BTC and earned 10.5BTC in just 2months of trading
Trading with Josef Dennis have change my life from financially misfortune, I like to introduce you all to him and his strategic method of trading works perfectly well.
Crypto currency and NFTS will outsmart the banking system in the nearest future serving as a global fiat. Already making over 85% profit from my current investment with the help of Josef Dennis's signal
His training program has been insightful, and I must say, I'm most honored to have been part and a full-time beneficiary of his daily signals. I have been growing monthly & have been able to increase my portfolio from 1.5BTC to more than 18 BTC with his daily signals...
Ed, thus far you've been the best at extracting all the good stuff from Alex's brain. MORE!!!!!!! Alex well thought out and voicing concepts no one else knows how to nor even thinks about. 10/10 boys! Great Job
Good one. I found once people achieve 8 figure or greater net worth they have time to breathe some and not put out constant fires with buckets. They are on top of a mountain and can pause and really think about what adventure they want to take on next in life. Smart people think intensively about their next moves with time before acting. Time of life to create experiences and happy memories with every day lived is precious. The values and principals with how we lived to share with future generations of family is way more important than another 10 or 100 million. Once you are financially free what you want out of money and what you use it for typically changes. I have talked with thousands of millionaires over the years and found maybe only a few percent love money. Most want to be financially free and money is mechanism that frees them to do what they are passionate about in life.
Had to come back and watch this....!! Loved the end - Alex loves business, cant wait to learn from him. The way his mind works, so fast - like drinking from a hose pipe.
The biggest unmentioned lesson in this episode is the value of operating from principles. Alex and Ed kept talking about how they made decisions based solely on principles they learned or believed. Example: When everything points to quitting, living from the principle of “you can’t lose if you don’t quit” got them through.
I found Alex just a month ago or so. He's QUICKLY become "the guy" I'm listening to and focusing on, because where I'm at in life right now I REALLY NEED his teaching. Plus the way he teaches I can understand.... most of the time. He's so smart and talks so fast I have to repeat a lot of his content before I get it. But when I do, it's SOLID GOLD.
Can't believe I've only found Alex now myself, he's tweaked my thinking on so many things and my business had it's best month already and only found Alex in June

This is the ultimate best combination a podcast could have… so damn good
I hope Ed brings Hormozi on again, I think they’re such fascinating characters with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. Thank you for the great content 🙏📝👍💯
This is amazing. I'm in the home remodeling industry, I was thinking about how to make scarcity offers to get people to sign up to my contract sooner and when Alex talked about the protein and maybe adding a workout plan to it for free as the offer but it will only last for a month gave me some insight. I may do an extra trim job added to a bathroom remodel for free but only for three or four days to give them some scarcity to sign the contract. This was so helpful today especially when we talked about marketing and pausing and marketing and getting your product and your system under control. Thank you so much for the interview Ed
Keys to my success, Ed Mylett, John C Maxwell, Josh Lewis, Patrick Bet David and Alex Hormozi Now started CLC Consulating and May get acquired by alex then
Wow, this video is perfect for business savvy individuals. But even if you are not an entrepreneur there are some good takeaways. What I got out of it is learning to use your time efficiently and effectively and taking time to analyze the rate of return for each action or choice you take. Very deep interview. Tons of information in a short period.
I was really looking forward to this interview and it did not disappoint 🔥 The mental models and framing Alex shares are nothing short of life changing if applied.
Thank you so much Ed for interviewing Alex Hormozi who is definitely one of the brightest and wisest young entrepeneurs out there! This is definitely a subject I need to learn more about-the meaning of leverage, how to use it properly and the 4 different types of leverage. I will listen to this on my daily walk and relisten to take notes. Thank you Ed for all you do to help people around the world #MAXOUT from Israel
Really enjoyed the energy (and skill) you two brought. A big, big takeaway for me was that you absolutely have to provide value, otherwise I think the tactics would be borderline manipulation.
I just did a back flip “listening point 51:00” almost broke my neck but the value will pay for any broken bones I may have! What a podcast man! I don’t say that lightly.
I love how this guy came from a royal bloodline, his dad had to flee, build from the ground up, and they're doing phenomenally, AND he's my age. Inspiring.
While Alex Hormozi gave us a lot of value, it was really how Ed carried the interview! Knows when to go deep or move on. I saw another interview with Alex recently and even though it was longer, it wasn’t as rich as this!
16:30 such an interesting convo - I had this anger about my lack of social skills. Would’ve been interesting to channel that to business… in any case, I reached my goals with that aaaaaand unfortunately now I have that gap in motivation… super interesting convo to listen in on
You guys are awesome. I came across Ed's channel because I've been watching Hormozi a lot. Now watching Ed's content. It is helping me ask all the questions I didn't know I needed to ask myself. Trying to be the best version of myself. Letting go of the past. Nobody cares. It's all about today and the future. Thanks guys for all you do. Your experiences you share is invaluable.
