Your first videos are not getting views, I'm in the same boat, let's keep pushing and make this happen one UPLOAD at a time, thumbs up to all of you 👍👍👍
1. Use jumpcuts Where you have an edit… *add a cut *zoom in on the clip (similar to using two cameras, break up static shot, zooming in/jumping in to a close up, zoom out for the next part, make the shot look different, don’t zoom too much, 10-12%, bright-dark? Zoom mask light changes, keep your eyes in the same position) * 2. Use music *picking the right music is important, don’t go too upbeat for the content, don’t be sad while you’re pumping people up *for piece to camera go for subtle music, do invoke feelings & keep people interested *don’t be annoying or too distracting 3. Motion titles *bring up text on screen *add visual elements & break up your shot (help hit a key point) *motion titles 4. Using B-Roll *overlaying footage to help the viewer understand 5. Use a video structure *change how you present your content
The jump cut zoom with the eye level information is such a simple but brilliant tip. I've seen it done a LOT. Now I know what and how it's done. Many thanks!
Man.. I saw you at less than 100k subscribers and knew you were amazing then itself.. I have started a channel as well this year.. enjoying the learning that the journey has to offer.. 🤟🏼💪🏼💪🏼
These are top notch tips bro! And I already use many of them. One thing I think people focus far too much on is lighting and video quality. You do want to keep the brain of your viewer entertained however in my opinion the value of the content is of upmost importance.
Hello Justin! I'm watching more videos of your channel. Your doing good job. I have one question i hope you will reply. Which software you're using for editing videos? Please let me know Thanks
Helpful stuff here but the end of the first tip sort of blew me away the most, because the whole zooming in but keeping the eyes in the same place thing is something I've always subconsciously noticed and that just brought it all to the forefront and helped me understand it.
Tip 4 and 5 were my favourite, I do the others but I never really do tip 5 so I need to and it definitely worked for you on this video lol thanks for this 🤗
That's true , that's why now i give my best to edit my vlogs , coz before i dont know how to edit ,since now that i am making money in youtube i will do my very best to empress my viewers even though im just using my phone .
You are amazing! :) I'm binge-watching your videos, so many high quality content! I was so happy when I realized that I have already been applying some of these tips in my latest videos :)
An amazing method for keeping people interested in your videos, and presenting your message is the: Storyboard Framework. In the storyboard framework, the Creator starts spying connecting with the audience has heart, then their head (aka the content), then the viewer's hands (aka call to action), and lastly reconnect with the viewer's heart.
Appreciate the tips! Coming from a news background we always were told to not use jump cuts 😂 I love being able to actively be creative with RU-vid though. It’s so fun.
Thanks for sharing! It's interesting that all your suggestions (except b-roll videoclips) are exactly what make so many RU-vid videos so annoying! But this is our current culture: the more information, the better! We all get tired because of it, so let us see how long it can continue.
*QUESTION FOR YOU* ... I've actually been using all five of these tips for a minute now but maybe I'm not using them as strongly as I should be especially the jump Clips to change the screen picture from something as simple as a zoom in, zoom out or using a b-roll, but maybe I'm not jumping around enough within that 5-10 second range whereas my videos are more like every 20 to 30 seconds, 15 to 30 seconds. Cuz the jumping around so much within every 5-10 seconds almost kind of gives me a headache when I watch a video that does that, as opposed to the screen change every 15 to 30 seconds. maybe that's just my personal preference ..... So, *Question* .... does anybody else have this issue with getting a headache when people jump around too much? Or is the change from every 15 to 30 seconds to slow and a bit boring?
Justin - I always look forward to your videos, and you never disappoint. :) Question, please - have you created a tutorial on how you do your lower-thirds? Specifically the glitchy effects? I'd love a link (or title) pointing me in the right direction!
Hey Ted! Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it! We have! It's called: How To Make Animated Titles - Easy Video Effects Tutorial. Hope this helps!
Quick question. I noticed you have emojis in the thumbnail. Do you have a video on that? If not, I just wanted to know if we can use them in our thumbnails and videos as well. Thx!
I like this one. Fast and short. Kept me interested. I agree about the visuals. This is something I have been trying to improve on lol. I have been experimenting with software and hopefully I get to attract more viewers soon.
What I would like to see is a progression channel. Say iMovies 1. Beginners, 2. Intermediate, 3. Advanced. For all of your main formats, put them into channels on your site so we can go into them and watch as opposed to scrolling down trying to find them that may be 12 months ago. Great info you have.
Another great video. I have implemented all of that into my videos but I need to be more diligent about it. Thanks for the tips Justin. I have learned a lot from you.
I have only 108 subs, but i undestand that all i need to do is hope and never gige up, hope you all do that !!!!! All this people who get to the top , do same things: never give up, they improuve the content, the way they speek, film, edit. They target an audience, find their needs, and give them all in best version they can @t if you have same dream like me stop worry, it will come to you, need some pacience, a lot of practice and LUCK.....
