Incredible 2024 Lexus GX with LRD Package Upgrade!

$96k?! This vehicle is not as off-road ready as an Overtrail, which has a rear-locker, EKDSS, skid plates, multi-terrain select, crawl control, (and more). You can't even open the rear window because of the stupid ladder. You're also destroying the ride quality with the E-load LT tires and the 2" spacer lift. This is literally the worst GX on sale right now. If you want luxury buy a luxury. If you want to off-road, get the Overtrail. They even put the damn TRD emblem on upside down.

All that and no rock sliders.

Sat in this one the other day when I dropped off my 2016 GX for repair. Seats are so comfortable.

Jeff, perfectly timed review! Currently split between Luxury Plus and Overtrail Plus. I’ve been wondering if it was possible to get a Luxury plus cabin and just swap the the tires/wheels for overtrail ones to improve the look and ride comfort. Did you by chance get a chance to drive this and is the ride quality better than a normal Luxury plus? Does the absence of EKDSS impact on road driving feel at all? Your GX550 videos have been a HUGE help

I don’t know what is a big deal about rock crawling, this is a adventure vehicle, Nobody will spend $80-100k to buy a car for rock crawling if it rolls over Insurance won’t cover either, it is just like buying McLaren F1 that you wouldn’t take it for racing.

Toyota just released today the tundra sequoia GX is getting a new engine replacement

No rear lockers on the luxury trim make this one pointless

Just do a 3rd row on the overtrail, problem solved.

Why is it just assumed that Lexus customer want their vehicles to look as though they’re going camping? To a point , a lot of this is just corny.

Absolutely horrible looking wheels. The Land Cruiser is significantly better looking than the GX.
