What steps did he leave out because I tried this 10 times, step by step, pausing all the time while I repeated everything he did, and it NEVER worked, NEVER. He left out at 2:40 to "check" "transform object", what else did he leave out?
Hey I know this video is kinda old already but I found an easier way to make this without having to deal with the ovals and trying to make them circles again. If you make the 'row' of circles by putting two circles next to each other and using the blend tool. Then you make half a circle like in the video, select the blend and the circle and choose 'object > blend > replace spine'. Next, you make sure there are enough circles by selecting the blend tool, hitting enter and turning the amount of steps up or down. Next you do object > expand appearance like in the video and duplicate and flip it. The rest of the process is basically the same.
i selected both sides of my circle and made the blend option then went back to select the blend but the cool pattern only appears on one side of my circle pls help really wanna use this in my uni graphics work
Teacher One question is raised. In lecture 11:32 Illustrated 2019 version file> scripts> dup at selected anchors ExportDocsFlash savedocsaspdf savedocsassvg other script ... I have 5 menus, and the program I use is the same version, but I do not have dup at selected anchors. Script dup at selected anchors is not the default when it is laid out? Did you download the script and save it?

If you are doing the whole thing on a white background, the blend tool will not let you see the effect correctly. The half that you reflect has to have NO BACKGROUND! I did the same thing and it worked!

These are fantastic videos, Nate, but for the love of Jesus relax, man! I know you're powerfully productive, but I'm still over here combing over "How to Cut Out ANYTHING [...]" and "How to Composite and Blend Images ]...]" xD. It's tough to keep up with the schedule, but it's only a complaint in jest, in reality I think this is badass, you're on fire.
