Hi. After seeing your video previously I went ahead and purchased one. However, after about a week mine stopped working in HomeKit. Long story short, after dealing with Govee customer service I ended up getting 2 more free of charge. I can not get any of them to work in HomeKit. I seem to be having issues with matter devices in general since my Third Reality smart night light will not work with HomeKit either. Are there any suggestions as to how to fix this? Thanks, JT
@@AdamsTechLife Yes. I have 5 HomePod minis. 2 HomePod s and 2 apple tv 4k units. Come to think about, I wonder if the matter devices are conflicted about which apple device to work with.
Hi, I am trying to add the Govee Lamp 2 to Apple Home and getting a "Unable to Add Accessory - Pairing with accessory failed". I already had IpV6 enabled on my eero mesh router and I have two AppleTVs that are at the latest TVOs release. Any suggestions?
Homekit question, I use a HomeKit automation to turn a philips hue external light strip on when motion (New Eve motion detect) is detected, then turn off after 1 min. About 50% of the time the light goes on but is not turned off after 1 min. I see online that this is a know bug. As that really the case ? seems like a very obvious thing that should have been fixed.
I have a similar automation set up but with a light turning on when a lock is unlocked (turn off light after 1 minute). I don't have any issues with mine so my thought is it could be, motion could still be registered after 1 minute? i'd try re creating the automation or testing a similar idea with a different device cause it could be an issue with how the home app registers motion
Is it possible to turn just the main light on over homekit? The light in the stand is really annoying for me, but if i saw correctly you can only turn on both lights at the same time?
Not from the home app. I realized after uploading this video that the stand and base are exposed as a single light in the home app, you can't control each one individually. you can create Siri Shortcut to control the stand or the base I believe, but nothing directly in the home app. good question!
