Diana Ankudinova has been on stages since she was about 6, she says it's her second home and always has full confidence up there. She performs Derniere Danse to this day at concerts at age 20, it has evolved a bit over the years. You will always hear lots of breaks, flips and other embellishments in her voice, it's just her style. Diana is also a master yodeler, she naturally flips up after lines a lot. Certainly a one of a kind performer!
Diana is 1000% confident from start to finish here. She acts the song that is why she is reserved at the start and as it goes on she gets louder and louder, this is a class act. As for the "cracks" in her voice the musical term is "Melisma" the singing of a single syllable of text while moving between several different notes in succession emulating crying/suffering and yes it is 100% deliberate there are no vocal accidents when Diana sings.

First a little history. Diana Ankudinova was born on May 31, 2003 and was 14 years old on February 10 2018 during this first appearance on a talent show for disadvantaged young teen’s called “You Are Super”. This performance was during the first season of the “You Are Super” competition, and she sang a cover, of Dernière Danse, originally sung by french singer Adila Sedraïa, better known as Indila, and Diana sings this cover in the original French. Diana’s voice for a 14 year old is truly unique, deep, and mature. It’s an instrument with a timbre and colors that are hard to describe. This “You Are Super” performance of Dernière Danse is an abbreviated version that was trimmed down to fit into the time constraints of this competition, which Diana won. There are several other versions of Diana performance of Dernière Danse, and some in my opinion are better than others. In the previous year, 2017, at age 13, her vocal range was measured from a low of D3 (a solid Alto), to a high of A5, (again a solid Alto), which is very low for a 13 year old girl, but I can find no performance, used for this particular vocal range measurement. On November 18, 2019, just 9 months after winning the second season of the “You Are Super” vocal competition, Diana Ankudinova performed the full version of Dernière Danse during the Good Wave Festival which was a concert performance, not a competition. For a girl of 14 to have this kind of voice, with this kind of a sound, plus her level of musicality, vocal control, and stage presence is truly amazing and many have said that this was NOT the voice of a 14 year old girl. This was a sound that sounded well beyond her years! Some have voiced an opinion that Diana looked a little scared, frightened even, or a little intimidated prior to her “You Are Super” performance, which would be understandable for someone so young to experience some degree of “stage fright” in the high pressure environment of a vocal competition. In truth, Diana Ankudinova was not scared, at all. She was taking a few moments to assume and fall into the character in this song. You can see by the look on her face after a few seconds, she there, she has slipped into the character in this song. Diana is not just singing a song, she is communicating with the audience. Diana is transmitting the feelings and emotions of this character to the audience. Diana Ankudinova was not afraid, and she is defiantly not intimidated at all, she is a true stage animal. Diana Ankudinova was born to be on stage. I don’t know the who, where or when a specific reactor started reacting to Diana Ankudinova, but it must have piqued the interest of real vocal professional’s because they also started listening to and reacting to RU-vid music videos of Diana, and commented on the quality of her voice. The word started to spread and soon other reactors along with reactors that again are real vocal professionals also started to pay attention and react to Diana Ankudinova. Some were even starting to suggest, based on her vocal range measurement the previous year and her present vocal timbre, she could be a true contralto in the making. It's called a flip, she done that technique several times during this performance. Diana, in a recent performance of Paul's Dream, from the movie Dune, Art of Hans Zimmer, does this flip throughout. Yep the girl leans into her breaks.. and adds to the drama of her performances..and thats why shes a dramatic stage performer and such a unique voice. 🎶 😎🧙♂️🇬🇧. You can see it in the Dune theme concert.. she is tied to the spot and the 🎤 but she still reflects what she sings in her posture and movements. If you've seen Rechenka try into the Skys with a professional video and a whole lighter feeling... but still early.

Merci pour cette magnifique réaction. En toute honnêteté, même si son français est imparfait (elle chante sans savoir parler français, juste par mémorisation, ce qui est juste hallucinant dans cette performance), la version de Diana est de très très loin ma préférer par rapport à l'original que je n'écoute jamais jusqu'au bout. Les radio nous l'ont pourtant faite entrée dans la tête de force. Diana propose une version plus puissante tout en étant ronde, grâce à son timbre de voix unique. Jusqu'à présent, je n'ai jamais entendu une seule reprise de Diana qui ne remplace pas l'original, celle-ci n'y fait pas exception. Sans doute l'avez vous déjà fait, mais il y a Rechenka ou encore Wicked Game sans parler de la bande son de Dune. Sinon il y a aussi une chanson de mariage où elle n'a guère plus de 9 ou 10ans. Даже когда песня закончилась и судьи встали со своих мест и начали аплодировать она так и стояла долго с опущенной головой , в видео это обрезали и зря . Диана потому и певица , что переживает свои песни душой , а не лицедействует , она сама говорила что не любит петь грустные песни , так как потом ей самой тяжело , на самом деле у нее активный веселый характер

The background music that you play during your interjections is extremely distracting and irritating. The listening pattern "Diana; background music; Diana; background music; Diana ..." is truly horrible. Your reaction videos would be very much more enjoyable if you simply removed the background music you employ during your interjections.🙂
I'm French and I don't understand the lyrics, her accent is very bad ! French song "Dernière danse" (Last dance) by Indila. Indila is an Arab who lives in France and sing in french with arabic accent. And Diana imitates the Arabic accent. But Diana speaks very badly.
