My father talked me into buying the proof version of this coin telling me that since it was the first 90% silver coin minted since 1964 , that it would be worth a lot of money some day. I kinda got into coins, on a very low level, and bought just a few, before having them all stolen from me. After he died I inherited a quarter of his collection and a sizable amount of money. With the money I bought a lot more coins and silver and coins and other numismatic items.
I’m so sorry to hear about them getting stolen. And I’m very sorry for your loss. But it’s nice that you kept the coin collecting hobby going! Best of luck with your journey.
Wow. That was a good deal! I recently bought four VF+ 'Walking Liberty' half dollars for fifty two bucks (including shipping). _I don't much care about condition other than the fact they're less worn._ Not a huge deal, but I'm a little light on the 'halves part' of my 90% stack, so I scooped them up. I've got some cash put aside, and watching it sit there and shrink makes me want to buy, buy and buy some more. *I don't know when the dollar will crash, but I've got a good deal of silver and some gold put away for that time. And I can always hand it down to my grandson along with my armory and reloading stuff if this old man dies first.*
Hey Patriot Stacker. This is Joe I met you a few times 2 years ago in Ed’s Coin shop. Do you have any interest in comic books and horror magazines from the early 70’s. I have a few bins of them that I would like to sell if you have any interest let me know and we can meet up.
Great finds man, i like that they're in those mint boxes and sealed too. That proof is real nice... Dig the Ellis Island, my great great grandpa immigrated through there from Poland. Good prices on those, nice score, thanks for sharing man!
Not to be condescending but, with silver at melt in the $30 range, $10 ea is not totally unreasonable. But I’m not sure what book that you used to priced them at , I don’t think it was a grey sheet price guide (actually it looked more like a red book, which is a consumer [inflated ] price ). Like I said I’m not trying to be rude and I see that you are a you tube channel and this is just my opinion. If you want I will take my comment down with an apology.
No problem at all. I’m not easily offended. lol I actually misspoke about the price of those. I realized after I posted the video… I must have been thinking of what I bought them for when silver was around $20. I’m surprised you’re the only one who said something! lol
Well if you keep going to these yardsales and estate sales you're gonna be in for a surprise one day. You'll see alot of coins one day at even better bargain prices. You better be ready though. Other buyers are going to notice your enthusiasm and they come quick and fast. Some can grab up 20 small boxes in a blink of an eye.
@@PatriotStacker I’m great brother! Glad to see your back. I took a long break myself and came back almost 6 months ago. Been pouring more than stacking though.
Awesome purchases with a decent profit margin for you. Bummer that you didn´t get the constitutional silver which is not gentleman´s behaviour. But as you know in today´s world: expect the worst, hope for the best ! Keep it up, and have a great weekend ! Greets from across the pond, U.
