Nice video, coins look cool. I use that stuff to darken silver rings & jewelry, it works great. You can speed up the process by dipping item back and forth in water for a few seconds, then L.O.S. for 20-30 secs. Also experiment with water temperature. You can likely get more rainbow tones with cooler water. Lastly i think a jewellers cloth would be great for hitting the high spots with less risk of over polishing
I don’t know about you but none of my Libertads have any milk spots, but my coins from other countries do get them once in a while except for the Austrian Philharmonics, they ALWAYS milk spot!
A good way to keep stacking fun is for every 20, 40 pieces of weight (rounds generic bars etc) buy a NICE piece. It breaks the monotony of looking at the same old coins all the time! ;-) Stay Safe bud! Cheers
Your collection is quite impressive. Ever thought of grading them and selling on Ebay or other platforms? I am torn because I love looking at my coins but I am tempted to make some premium.
I used to go crabbing up the road from your LCS at Berkley Island State Park. I think they renamed the park. Never make my way to Waretown or haven't in years but good to know a coin shop is there.
Thanks for your assistance. I bought mine brand new from the first owner. Sold it $450 cheap already put together. He joined a club and realized the guys in the group were serious roamers and kinda crazy. He lost interest after joining that group. Well I’m pretty crazy and looking forward to hear my 1st AU sound! Thanks again for the instructions.
I collect bullion coins from around the world but American silver Eagles and Mexican silver Libertad’s I stack large amounts, those are my favorite two to stack
Can you pleae help. My father was a coin collector and he left coins to 3 of his children but I don't know where to start to figure out the value and where to go to sell them and especially since there are so many scams and untrustworthy people I just don't know where to start. None of us 3 kids know anything about coins,
Coins with holes are not really worth anything unless the coin itself is a rare or collectible coin. If your quarter is from 1964 or earlier, it is silver. Which gives it value. If not, it’s worth $0.25
Hey Patriot Stacker. This is Joe I met you a few times 2 years ago in Ed’s Coin shop. Do you have any interest in comic books and horror magazines from the early 70’s. I have a few bins of them that I would like to sell if you have any interest let me know and we can meet up.
I bought many of my Libertads years ago when they weren’t so pricey. I try to buy the proof coins whenever I can. I finally bought a gold tenth ounce proof libertad
Not to be condescending but, with silver at melt in the $30 range, $10 ea is not totally unreasonable. But I’m not sure what book that you used to priced them at , I don’t think it was a grey sheet price guide (actually it looked more like a red book, which is a consumer [inflated ] price ). Like I said I’m not trying to be rude and I see that you are a you tube channel and this is just my opinion. If you want I will take my comment down with an apology.
No problem at all. I’m not easily offended. lol I actually misspoke about the price of those. I realized after I posted the video… I must have been thinking of what I bought them for when silver was around $20. I’m surprised you’re the only one who said something! lol
My father talked me into buying the proof version of this coin telling me that since it was the first 90% silver coin minted since 1964 , that it would be worth a lot of money some day. I kinda got into coins, on a very low level, and bought just a few, before having them all stolen from me. After he died I inherited a quarter of his collection and a sizable amount of money. With the money I bought a lot more coins and silver and coins and other numismatic items.
I’m so sorry to hear about them getting stolen. And I’m very sorry for your loss. But it’s nice that you kept the coin collecting hobby going! Best of luck with your journey.
Awesome assortment of Mexican coinage, though the Libertads as bullion stuff are a little bit pricey. Anyways, I also got some 1 oz and 5 oz in my stack. Keep it up, and see you on the next one ! 👍 Greets from GER, U.
The premiums are pretty high on the libertads but I just love the design and they’re fun to collect. Luckily I can find them once in a while at local coin shops selling at generic silver pricing! But I buy online as well which is typically much more expensive. Thanks!!!
That is true. My local coin shop sells them at the same price as Britannia’s or maples. If they ever have them. You definitely get more out of American silver Eagles. I just enjoy collecting them.
I have been collecting coins from all over the world. I do have 3 of the balboa coins. 1978....25 cents... 1966 small coin like a dime . Un centimo... 2003 new 25 cents... I do have the coins in the video.. I know nothing about coins I love collecting them. Since 1990....😊
Wow. That was a good deal! I recently bought four VF+ 'Walking Liberty' half dollars for fifty two bucks (including shipping). _I don't much care about condition other than the fact they're less worn._ Not a huge deal, but I'm a little light on the 'halves part' of my 90% stack, so I scooped them up. I've got some cash put aside, and watching it sit there and shrink makes me want to buy, buy and buy some more. *I don't know when the dollar will crash, but I've got a good deal of silver and some gold put away for that time. And I can always hand it down to my grandson along with my armory and reloading stuff if this old man dies first.*
