I'm glad you made this video, it reminds me of my transformation from a nobody to good home, honest wife, $75k biweekly and a good daughter full of love ❤️
I raised 75k and Christina Ann Tucker is to be thanked. I got my self my dream car 🚗 just last weekend, My journey with her started after my best friend came back from New York and saw me suffering in dept then told me about her and how to change my life through her. Christina A. Tucker is the kind of person one needs in his or her life! I got a home, a good wife, and a beautiful daughter. Note: this is not a promotion but me trying to make a point that no matter what happens, always have faith and keep living!!!
< I know that woman(Christina Ann Tucker) If you were born and raised in new York you'd know too, No doubt she is the one that helped you get where you are!!
I can tell Amber was feeling this one...not just the music, but the message. I think the song isn't about time so much as it's about the places life takes you, and how sometimes you have to say goodbye, maybe forever, to the people you care about.
I love watching the two of you react, but even more I love watching the two of you as grow musically, as you learn and experience all of this. Keep listening and keep growing - music transcends all the mundane pettiness of life. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.
I love it when I come across one of your reaction vids. I can’t believe I hadn’t subscribed yet. So I did! It was the Hocus Pocus by Focus reaction I stumbled across. I absolutely love the 6+ minute version of that song. You had the 4 minute version. It was like squirrels on speed. Anyway, I needed to go to your current reactions. And now I’m signing up for notifications. This Alan Parsons song is beautiful!
“Forevermore” (well actual “Nevermore”) at the end is a reference back to their earlier works of “Tales of mystery and imagination” based on the macabre poetry of Edgar Allen Poe and specifically the song “The Raven” that they did for that album
nice :) i think Alan Parsons best album is "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" (1976), you gotta listen to it in its entirety (esp. because side 2) - what a trip :)
That is the album that Games People Play ,,you mentioned,, is on and there are many other good ones on it as well... Dr Tarr and Professor Feather is an awesome track from the APProject album Tales Of Mystery and Imagination
Great song. Very touching, reminds us that you can't stop time from continuing... with or without us. Enjoy the Time we have with the people we call friends and those whom we Love.
I'm so glad you got to hear this song. it was on the same album as "Games People Play" and was a pop hit for them in 1980. This song is so poignant and I've loved it since I first heard it on the radio back in 1980. I highly recommend "Old and Wise" if you like this type of song. Alan Parson Project is a group that you could listen to their entire albums, Their 1980 album, "Turn of a Friendly Card" is an amazing album.
What a beautiful song you've introduced me to. Reminds me of the Radiohead classic "Pyramid Song" taking you on a trip to another world. "And we all went to heaven in a little row boat/There was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt" Please check it out as a lyric video. From the first chord you will be taken on an emotional journey you won't forget.
I had this album when I was younger. I think I wore this song out and is still as fantastic all of these years later. I could go on a road trip and have this play on repeat for the entire trip
Parsons also worked as engineer and producer on Al Stewart's "Year of the Cat" and "Time Passages" albums (which spawned those two hit classic title tracks).
ELO and Alan Parsons Project are two of favorite groups/bands. Probably not a reaction, but if you want to put on your headphones, turn off the lights, and sail away into sound, try the album Oxygene by Jean-Michel Jarre.
Great song. Reminds me of my late mom. And a brother and a sister who were my friends. The brother and sister were murdered in 1978 by a serial killer. I was 17 at the time. Still hurts 46 years later. Whenever I hear this song I start crying.
This song is so beautiful and sad. I want this played at my funeral. If you notice in one verse he says who knows WHEN we shall meet again and in another he says who knows WHERE we shall meet again. Just beautiful.
I'm so glad you did this one. I think this is one of the most beautiful and haunting songs ever. I also think Eric Woolfson is the only one who could sing this and do it justice.
Absolutely love your reactions.. I was an amateur DJ for Weddings in the 80's and had thousands of albums and hundreds of 45 singles. I particularly loved finding new groups that became popular after I had been listening to them for months (music wasn't as easily accessible then as it is now). My fave reaction of yours was Procol Harum - Whiter Shade Of Pale. Quite a few years back but I felt everything you felt through your reactions even though I had heard that song probably a hundred times. You two are the BEST music reaction channel by far!!
I can never hear this song without tearing up. We had a reunion of our group of friends from our teens to our early twenties (mid-seventies - mid-eighties) a number of years ago. This song played near the end of the weekend while we were all just sitting at the park that we spent so much time at, whether it was the 4th of July celebration(s) or just getting together, cooking out and tossing the Frisbee. Everyone got into singing along, and by the time it ended, we were all crying. There were a number of friends who had already passed on, and we were singing for them as much as for us who were still here. We've lost a couple more since the reunion, so this song just hits me hard.
There’s no way for me to listen this song and don’t cry. I’m now in my 60s and Time is becoming more and more emotional! Missing beloved people that now are “gone forever” 😢♥️
Wow. I'm in my 60's as well. And I feel exactly the same way. It has been on my mind so much lately and I just talked with my wife about that last night. Then they put on this Masterpiece of a song that captures my inner feelings every single time that I hear it. The song is about time, and it is a timeless song.
This song cemented my love for Alan Parsons and the “Project”. Old and wise is another one by them, song by Colin Blunstone. (Zombies) Both are among the most beautiful songs ever.
Did you know that Alan Parson was the recording engineer for Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album? Recorded at Abbey Road studios. That instrument was a theremin. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theremin
Thanks to Jay and Amber! 🕰 Of course, I was familiar with this song when it was fresh, but I rediscovered it a few years ago through A FANTASTIC WOMAN (2017), which I recommend whenever you're in the mood for a drama.
I suffer with PTSD service connected !00% VN For years I could not listen to this kind of sad music .With the great help from the VA I now can. I do tear up though Thank you very much!
Another rabbit hole- Sergio Mendez and Brazil 66, Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass and Master of music. Herb founded A&M Records as a result. King of Artists!
The music for the classic 80s movie called Ladyhawke was done by the Alan parsons project. One of the first albums I got when I was a kid was tales of mystery and imagination...Edgar alan poe by Alan parsons project.. incredible music... Turn of a friendly card is still one of my favorite albums... everything they did was awesome. Great reaction.❤
I see you've found my funeral playlist. Seriously, though, this song always makes me philosophical. I love their work, and the many moods in their catalog. Thanks for giving this a listen.
Alan Parsons fue el ingeniero de sonido de The Beatles en sus últimos albums; también de Pink Floyd y otras bandas icónicas. Así que tiene grandiosas influencias, y esta música que hizo con su grupo es el sublime resultado.
I think you guys would love song called "Those Shoes " by the Eagles . Would be a great reaction video. Joe Walsh is lead guitarist during this time. Thanks love the channel.
Y’all did this song one year ago. I thought I remembered Jay saying something about being a Pink Floyd song. Of course you can play Alan Parsons Project anytime and that’s fine.
