BIGGEST link between the incredible Hulk and Stan Lee is his first Cameo was in The Incredible Hulk TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk which also Had Matt Murdoch and The King Pin But Lee was a member of the courts Jury during a dream sequence and he was also a Security Guard with Lou Ferrigno in Ang Lees Hulk movie.
Stan Lee also appeared back in Mallrats back in 1995! This has now been linked to the MCU thanks to the cameo in Captain Marvel where he is reading the script for mallrats.
It's interesting how people used to always skip this movie during an MCU run-through and actually say that it isn't canon for them because of how "bad" this movie is. But now everyone wants to pretend like they've loved this movie😑
I always loved this movie as a kid, rewatching it as an adult I still like it! The action scenes are fun and I like the realistic gritty design of hulk as opposed to the newer mcu hulk
@@Chuck_ELI had no idea Hull was Bruce's toddler self. I knew Bruce had a traumatic childhood which in the Hulk persona being created but that I didn't know.
Did Erik just include Ross' blood red, which was a nod to him being The red hulk on his 2nd detail? Lol, every person in this universe has red blood, so they were red Hulk as well?? Big stretch there.
@@Alfredotinajero4186 Titan was created by D'Spayre and The One Below All and was planted in Banner's mind like a virus. Once Titan grew, it took over Banner's mind. By using the Hulk's power and rage to fuel it, Titan bonds to Banner's trauma centers, becoming one with Banner and the Hulk. Titan manifests whenever the Hulk reaches a certain and insane level of rage and power
The color code names isn’t a reference to Reservoir Dogs. There was a Mr. Blue in the comics that was helping Banner that I believe turned out to be Emil Blonsky.
Ang Lee's "Hulk" shows how he grows larger as he gets angry. And the desert fight scene right after is still better than anything Hulk has done in the MCU.
@TheSuperScifiShow I've always thought he'd play an older version of a character, like Tony Stark from another universe, but yeah, an older Reed Richards would be good as well.
@@dellytancyl524 Ty said he wants to come back .. Fun fact: There's a semi canon comic of Ty Burrell's Doc Samson and Mark Ruffalo's Professor Hulk doing therapy sessions Ty looks like gamma powered Doc Samson with shorter hair
One thing not mentioned is that Louis Leterrier the director of The Incredible Hulk actually wanted Mark Ruffalo for the movie the whole time. But I believe he was offer ruled by Marvel or Universal who wanted Norton because of his likeness to original Banner from the tv series.
The Mr. Blue/Mr. Green thing is also a direct reference to the Bruce Jones Hulk run of comics from the early 2000’s. Really great and worth tracking down.
17:16 The thunderclap should have been used in "Thor Ragnarok" to send Fenrir flying out of Asgard. Hulk was underwater too so having that water separated from the ground for a moment would have been a cool shot.
Did Erik just include Ross' blood red, which was a nod to him being The red hulk on his 2nd detail? Lol, every person in this universe has red blood, so they were red Hulk as well?? Big stretch there.
18:00 - his name is on the computer screen isi listed as "Banner, D. Bruce" (Last name, first initial, middle name) which is one of the standard ways names are written in the military. So his name written for civilians is D. Bruce Banner....David Bruce Banner, not Bruce David Banner.
Surprised you didn’t mention that the drink Ross was drinking was the Incredible Hulk. It was real popular around the release of the movie. My mother’s bar served them very often. I had a set of radioactive barrel glasses I served a few regulars drinks in lol
Hypnotiq and Hennessy! I was always too young when it was popular but later on I tried one and I’m surprised how tasty it actually is. They should def make a comeback although I think it’s more that hypnotiq isn’t nearly as popular as it used to be.
Wow. There were so many nods to past hulk lore and returns for people involved in the hulk at various stages in all those movies. That was great content! liked and subbed!
Saliva sample from Hulk may be from when abomination hit hulk, and then hulk spit on street. Also abomination was stabbing hulk, Ross may have collected samples from that abomination fight.
I would really love to a hulk horror movie based off of Al Ewing’s Immortal Hulk run. The Xemnu arc would fit into the MCU well while also getting to play with the revolutionary ideas just beneath the surface of lots of Hulk Comics.
I'm gonna be nitpicky. Just because I watch a lot of MMA and Erik pronounced Rickson Gracie's name wrong. It's actually pronounced Hickson not actually Rickson.
Really appreciating how the hosts are starting to shout out the behind the scenes teams of writers, editors, researchers/Easter egg hunters that are helping to bring these videos to life.
I thought wolverine was part of the weapon x program not the super solider program cause if he in the super solider program and part of that whole tree would that not mean that Deadpool x23 and bunch of others all in that tree?
Yeah i agree no offense to Harrison Ford but they needed to find someone about a decade younger to play Ross. Seeing old withered Harrison Ford in the newest Indy Jones movie just makes you realize he's over 80 years old and how many more movies does he have in him?
I don't really listen often enough to see if the writers get credited for the scripts often but I thought it was a very nice touch here. Often the background personnel get so under-appreciated for their efforts. Well done!
