I bought this incredible Indian head cent roll off of eBay. I was a bit worried for what I paid for it but I now I think I got a pretty good deal.

I really would appreciate it if you would share with me how you came across this roll of Indian Head - Wheat cents with one 1858 Flying Eagle cent! I really enjoy going through never searched very old coin rolls of any denomination!! Thanks, DLP.

eBay. I don’t think it was never searched tho. I did send that Indian in and it was ms60 but got details due to corrosion on the back.

I am curious of how much you really paid for the Morgan silver dollar roll with a CC on one end and a 1878 on the other end that reminds me of today's proof coins!!!

maybe this is a stupid question but just curious. how would you know these have not been cleaned or altered colors? like if you got them graded? im guessing you bought these as like "indian head roll" just curious if these types of things are trust worthy. im just getting into the grading of coins and dont really know much and normally am a bit skeptical of stuff off of ebay not sure if thats where ou got this but yeah.

It is a risk. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t cleaned, at least not recently because the back of the coin was dirty.

"Paid a pretty penny for it," no pun intended. That aside, OBW rolls of Indian head pennies do not look like this. Once again, a buyer (you) got bedazzled by the coin they placed on the end. You got scammed! Good thing you think you made out okay.

Whether or not I got scammed has yet to be seen. It’s happened once or twice but with the quantity of rolls I’ve purchased I am still on top. Haven’t sent that one in yet, but I am worried about it. I got a couple rolls from another guy and they conned me with counterfeits. He got reported.

yes, see the point is, he buys these rolls off ebay and thinks they might be original but in fact they are just packed by some people who are trying to take advantage of you and collectors buy these kind of rolls because of one fancy ender... same with morgan dollars. never in OG bank wrapper and always a stamp etc on them to make them look older or legit... he entertains us with opening these rolls..
