That electric roof ladder lifting rack device has been saving live for many years. I have been a volunteer fire fighter for 23 years now and on our engines (pumper truck) the ladder is the top of the truck laying flat on the top of the tool boxes but next to the hosebed. There is a electronic lift the lowers the 200lb ladder down for us. Only takes 10 seconds for it to lower and another 2 or 3 to unhook and move the ladder. Love it.

Pick up your cross and follow Jesus! The world is quickly headed for destruction, and sooner or later you will have to sit at the judgement seat and give an account for your actions. Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36). Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life! - Revelation 3:20. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God tho. Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc and you should get a response. Have a blessed day!

The disadvantage to those in wheel motors is a massive increase in unsprung weight. That is generally considered bad because you don't want your wheels to bounce off the pavement.
@jaxturner7288
@jaxturner7288 2 года назад
Increased weight equals more wheel bounce?
@AlexandarHullRichter
@AlexandarHullRichter 2 года назад
@@jaxturner7288 yes. The wheels follow the pavement, so any inertia the wheels have will cause them to bounce off of bumps in the road and lose contact with the pavement. That's why unsprung weight is such a big deal. You want the wheels to be light enough that they can follow the pavement exactly without carrying any of their own momentum, then the wheels' movement can be controlled by the shock absorbers.

Well, you are right. However, if I heard the narrator correctly, a 15% loss over a period of 3.5 hours for a full charge. Doesn’t seem exorbitant. It may behoove the owner to; perhaps, invest in solar panels and a battery bank, go “off-grid”. Charge your car for free. Well, not free, the initial outlay… blah, blah, blah… tax breaks… Yada, yada… Essentially, you pay for your power consumption, but… the convenience of not ever to wait in line for decent gas prices again? Well worth it.

What if the charging plate is dirty? Will it affect the charging rate? What is the efficiency rate of wireless charging like this? Whatever it is, KUDOS for trying to tackle the charging issues!
@TStark-vj2wo
@TStark-vj2wo 2 года назад
Honestly there's no charging issue being tackled, they are trying to make it more 'convenient' that's all and that's questionable. It's basically the same tech that wirelessly charges your phone. Folks have been talking about, working on, a car version for ages, although getting better, it's not nearly as efficient as just plugging your car in. If the alignment over the plate isn't right - charing time is degraded. More the distance between the two plates - charging time is degraded. Notice in the video the car is being guided in to the right spot, because it has to be 'just right' to get max efficiency. If there's something in your way, like a bike, or trash cans, or shovel/rake... and you can't line up the plates perfectly - charging time is degraded. Today's method, drive your car into the garage/driveway any way you want/can, plug it in (and automatically get the fastest charging possible no matter how well you parked), walk away - no fuss. Unless there are pads everywhere it's pointless, as present and future public charging stations are plug-in, so your car is still going to need an outlet. It's hard to see public charging stations switching to this as it's slower, and at a public charger you want people (vehicles) in/out as quickly as possible.

I'd love to have a personal shopping cart, but not at that price. And now that I won't be doing much Instacart anymore, I really don't need it. Just put some cheap laundry baskets in your car and leave the heavy frame and wheels at the store. Makes carrying groceries into the house very easy.

3:20 that is a joke by BMW, the plate should position itself and not the car, i can't believe someone actually came up with such a stupid solution as letting the driver to precisely park over the plate.....those ppl are not serious 9:54 forgot to include a seat for kids, put bigger wheels on and make usable as a stroller....jesus, did ppl forget how to invent thing or what?

If a foreign object falls on the plate charging stops, that does however charging has started so then the falling object detected by the plate underneath will have had to pass through the car itself dramatically reducing the need to charge an insurance write off. The hard top lift looked unstable with the weight toward the front, is that why they don't really show it being moved about? Hitchlift is an accident waiting to happen. What's wrong with just using a wipe on a trolley handle the way most have been doing since covid went global? Much cheaper and they can be carried in a pocket.

If this shoping cart would cost around 130€, I would consider buying it, there is enough space in my eNV200. But on the other hand, wiping the cart with desinfectant and use the Euronorm-Boxes (60cm x40 cm, 22cm or 40cm in Heigh, all are stackable) is a much better space usage in my Opinion. But there will be use cases though!

@1:37 id just attach the ladder to the inner celling of the van with a few simple brackets, slide out slide in job done and works every time. will even work in multi-storey car parks with low ceilings which would otherwise get in the way of a device like the one in the video

This could work in these tall vans, but as someone who drove a work van for many years I have to admit that many people could not have ladders or other equipment taking up space in their cargo area. I did keep small step ladders in the cargo area, but larger ladders had to go on the roof as I need the space and the headroom inside.

A 79 lb wheel is _pretty damn heavy_ and will make the suspension much more clunky, also requiring completely redesigned springs and shock absorbers. Roadholding will never be as good as a the same vehicle with light wheels because it simply takes longer for a larger mass to bounce in and out of dips in the road, so the wheel is going to be out of contact with the ground a lot more. Also changing the wheel is going to be out of the question for the majority of drivers. Roof load "managment system"? _Patented?_ 🧐 It's a modified wheelchair lift. They've been around for decades. But a wheelchair lift goes all the way to the ground and stops there, avoiding contact with the side of the vehicle. In this video, despite several views of many examples on various different vehicles they carefully don't once let us see what happens when the thing gets to the bottom of its travel. Looks to me like one inadvertent bump is going to drive the lift into a body panel or window. No thanks. The "car tyre microdust" thing doesn't make any sense. Where does the microplastic dust come from - the road, or when recycling the tyre? The footage accompanying the blah blah blah doesn't offer any illumination, so this segment just confuses more than it informs. At this point I've lost interest, the inventions I;ve see so far are "meh" at best and definitely nowhere near "incredible". Nice try but Buh-byeee.

The slide in the truck bed is such a novel idea at $750 (sarcastic). I've been using a pallet ($0) for about 15 years. Fits all truck beds, easily replaceable, lots of hand-hold locations, almost unlimited weight capacity, never have to wash it, never worry about messing it up, and if I don't want it in the truck for some reason, I just throw it on the driveway or lawn.

01:15 It's all nice and good until you get to an underground parking or under a low bridge... I don't know over there, but around here all those big vans get their roofs caved in from hitting the ceilings, low bridges and garage entrances. Imagine with that thing making it even higher... 😅😁🤣
@SillyPutty3700
@SillyPutty3700 2 года назад
Even regular height vans don't typically fit in parking garages anyways and there are not many place in the US & Canada that have bridges to low for that van shown.
@makpsv
@makpsv 2 года назад
@@SillyPutty3700 Regular vans fit quite good on parking buildings. Those tall ones don't. To find a low underpass or bridge is not that uncommon, at least in my area. They don't want to sell it exclusively on Canada, I guess, so it can be a problem. Not to mention that those vans hit low branches, etc quite often, add 50 - 80 cm to that and you can have a bad day. 🤷‍♂️

What happens to unsprung weight with 2 of 4 in-wheel motors? In wheels motors are good for low speed projects but I expect high speed handling would suffer.
@brianhaygood183
@brianhaygood183 2 года назад
Exactly. 80 lb of additional unsprung weight at each corner would turn almost any typical car into a handling nightmare.
@TheSkiddey
@TheSkiddey 2 года назад
Unsprung weight can be dealt with. Lots of high performance cars use a solid rear axle which is much heavier than that.
@brianhaygood183
@brianhaygood183 2 года назад
@@TheSkiddey I'm not aware of a single car with a solid axle that is a high performance car in terms of handling. I know there are high horsepower cars, but nothing that handles worth a darn has a solid axle. A solid axle is itself most of the suspension system and takes the place of most of the control arms and other linkages, so the unsprung weight penalty of a solid axle is less than the total weight of the axle, which itself is usually not the 160lb we are talking about here. Finally, much of the weight of a solid axle is in the center of the axle, not out at the corners giving it half as much impact as these motors would have for a single-wheel disturbance.
@mikemorgan5015

79lb wheels?! Neat idea, but that's a metric crap ton of unsprung weight! Yikes! Great idea for low speed applications though.
