That water wheel thingy is on another level! If someone would just build a giant one and put it in the middle of a dam I'll bet it would generate a LOT of electricity ;)
lol Yeah there are many smaller versions online. The awesome thing about living near/owning a stream is 24/7 off grid hydro electric power supply (unless the water freezes in winter)
@@michaelbrinks8089 and don't forget that it also wouldn't work during times of heavy rain that will raise the water level to high and sends flood debris into the submerged unit completely destroying it!
Sure all the rivers and ponds will filled with these things and wild life and others do not matter? It is the same old stuff of rivers and dam but individually, and amount produce is so small that it does not worth the damage it will do the envoriment. Thus, it is dead on arrival. And why does this good man think he is the first person to do this? It is not new idea.
These rescue boats will become super spreaders and kill everyone because the passengers cannot social distance properly. They will need to be redesigned with plastic boxes around each person and supply USB charging stations because Lord knows the most important thing in a survival situation is making sure your cellphone is charged. Each boat will come with a social worker so you can freely talk about your feelings, well just as long as you don't offend anyone. I have spoken. This is the way.
I think I am missing a joke of some sort, but inflatable life rafts like this will make it easier to get large cruise companies that don't want to make "ugly" ships with too many life rafts. These remain hidden and pretty until needed. It will save lives in a bad situation.
begin an electronics engineer,i am wondered how the developers could manage such small lengths of technology for a great future..hatsoff to the developers and thanks a lot for posting these
i'm not 100% convinced people without pilots licenses should be flying anything they've built/pieced together... _ever_ and especially over populated areas...
Waterwheels nationwide in a country that gets a lot of rain could always have provided a decent chunk of cheap and clean renewable power.. that's why they were never embraced by the powers-that-be because it would deprive too many moneyed people of the ability to sell expensive energy production.
I am about 60 years old “when I was a kid” I am going to get all this shit and be the coolest grandpa ever! Can’t cure a cold, cancer, hiv, or COVID yet but. Hope that’s next.
Great stuff. I'm very interested in contacting the water wheel fellow for nuturing his invention along. can you put me in contact with him Please? Cheers
I'm interested in taking inventions to the finish line. So many things were half created. Half thought. We should have kept pocket doors and automated them collapsible. Maglev technology should have been incorporated into a shuttle launch thirty years ago. ECT.
ótima invenções para ser usada no dia a dia, nas diversas atividades, a ultima invenção do robô artista e do Drone de passageiro foi que mais chamaram a minha atenção.
Yeah we all know the water wheel has been around for a long time but dipping it in the water like that was my idea in the 1980's (built using beer cans) but I'm glad he has his version anyway. Just have to allow for extreme river levels!
Yes I agree I have an idea to attach a cylinder type wheel under a bridge that can be rased out of harms way. Thus doesn’t look like it can get far or up enough from the water in an adverse condition scenario.. would like to see more small scale water based energy production. Over and over the same water could be producing energy. All along an irrigation canal, streams and rivers. Not like a dam, allowing close located residents and farmers a very renewable source of energy night and day now matter the wind and light levels. Just bad weather, winter and floods but otherwise always on. I live by a small river/stream it would be great to utilize it! Soo much potential energy just always going and going and going by!!
I'm pretty sure a gravitational vortex water turbine would be more efficient than the design in the video. Look up "Molino California" in Doñihue and the Mapuche Community in Cunco, they have two of those turbines installed. The company making them is called "Turbulent". www.turbulent.be/projects
aawwwwwwweeesssoooommmmeeee!!!! Love it; slow water wheels are everything an average house/small farm needs, esp when combined w/wind/solar. Free power folks, get on the bus and exxon can go clean up the mess
That water wheel is taken from the comic name Dr.Stone. But that's a very good experiment. Here is a suggestion why don't you built a hut so you can prepare power plant kind of thing there. even water flow is more also it'll stay.
Fun fact, if youre on mobile and wanna skip the ads, just skip to the end of the video and hit replay. It makes youtube think you watched em all once so they dont show back up
well considering that design is over 3000 years old ... thats looked after ... this was extremely common in egypt and the middle east back before the jews were going for their long walk ....
The water wheel is a good idea but I think I have a better idea and can be used in every home and workplace and city streets but I need to patent and draw up the idea first .
Water Wheels has been in use for 2,300 years (there is evidence indicating that the water wheel originated from the Persian Empire before 350 BCE) - so not really "on another level"
Generate the electricity from flowing water small canals and rivers and seawater waves in the same method my 30 years back dream by seeing the video felt very happy.
Any force you can harness can create electricity. As the wheel turns all is required is is connecting the shaft to a generator. As simple as a car generator. I'm sure they use something larger and more efficient .
I just realized I saw that *exact* water mill generator; the first invention; at the AirBnb I was staying at in Squamish Edit: It's hosted my Marc & Betty if you wanna look them up
The first invention the hydro power generator if you can manage to stop the water from entering inside the wheel i mean if you can keep the wheel hollow that can increase efficiency...just my thought..
