@@marlygee haha yes same age here. It's a great channel, no clickbait or eye catching titles and you always see the gadget's they show in the thumbnails.
Btw, ozone is not very healthy to breathe…so using that for consistently long periods of time would be detrimental to your health and end up costing you much more than 400 bucks!
Not only that, if you hafta use some device that makes you entirely undetectable by wildlife.. that’s not hunting. Not in the traditional, sporting, or manly sense of the term. If you remove any chance your quarry has of eluding you.. then it’s just about the killing..
I'm going to be honest, that steer by wire looks fucking terrifying. I love driving (quickly when possible) but the idea that my steering wheel isn't directly connected to the wheels. That works right up to the point it doesn't. Imagine coming up to a bend, hard and your steering wheel is as much use as that Fisher Price one your kid has strapped to the back of your seat. /shudders
2:07, This actually worries me. The reason it worries me is this makes it so that hackers can LITERALLY kidnap you while your in your car at high speed. You literally have a Wireless transmitter between the Wheel and your steering system for them to HACK and take over if you have good WIFI.
Tesla have been offering a reward of $1m for several years now, nobody has managed it. Also given that the entire internet and banking system relies on the same technology, being kidnapped would be the least of your problems.
Steer by wire is an extremely dangerous technology since it leaves the driver vulnerable and out of control if the car is struck by an electromagnetic pulse which is very common nowadays due to the increase in worldwide erratic tectonic plate movements.
No, no, and no. There are issues with drive by wire, but your synopsis is: 1) based on anecdotal evidence (my assumption), 2) electromagnetic pulses do not work that way, 3) plate movements would NEVER interfere with this (unless u drive 3 mph across the USA and measure differences over time), 4).....why bother, please understand physics before watching RU-vid and think you understand engineering and how physical and electric matter interacts
Yeah, those ransom EMPs constantly destroying electronics around the world. They've become a daily problem in my area. Everyone is sick of having to buy new phones, cars, and home appliances because of these random EMPs.
New Zealand has farm subsidies, but with plentiful rainfall, mild seasons, and rich volcanic soil, they are not as necessary. They subsidize around 1.5% of their crop yields. Between the favorable growing environment and captive island market farm failure is far less likely than in the US.
The 3D printed hearts for training doctors is a great idea. 👍 The amphibious soft robot is another great idea. 👍 The augmented reality goggles look like a great idea, if it doesn't give the user a lot of eye strain. Can they be used with glasses? 🤓 That would be my concern with that invention.
I wonder what happens to people with presbyopia (aged long sighted) because the image is very close to the eye, when I was young I could focus there, but no longer.
Steer by wire scares the hell out of me. What happens if you have catastrophic failure within the electronic components in the car. You have no control what so ever this is a very bad idea. You should always have manual control just in case.
Don't put ozone into your hunting blinds. Ozone is harmful to breathe. Also losing the feel of a mechanical steering column is a terrible idea. Anyone who enjoys driving will hate it, and it will not "reduce weight" when you've made all the cars electric and have massive batteries. The future does not involve lightening cars.
They call it "Drive by Wire". I call it "DIE by Wire". I'll never fully trust a COMPUTER with my life. For example, the video they just showed! The COMPUTER doesn't ask WHY is that car in front of it is stopped? It could be a KID you don't SEE until you're running them over.🤦♂️ The COMPUTER just evaded the obstacle without THINKING.
Ok people keep saying electric vehicles are more environmentally friendly. They aren't. You still get electricity using oil and coal. That production will sky rocket if the US makes electric cars mandatory. Not only that but our power grid will suffer. Imagine everyone has an electric car. You wait maybe 20 mins at a busy gas station to fill up gas now. Well if 2 people are in front of you at a charger your wait is 3hrs +/-. Then you have to wait your hour to charge. The waits at electric fill stations would be ridiculous. Electric cars are cool but you shouldn't get rid of gas cars.
Hydrogen as a "fuel source" is truly stupid. For one, it's NOT a source of energy. It's merely the product of energy that CONVERTED from another source. That's usually FOSSIL FUELS. And hydrogen is harder to contain than a hydrocarbon.
Somebody will probably develop a drone system that tracks prey with infrared and shoots from the drone too. That way the animal has no chance and the hunter can be the greatest hunter on earth. I'd like to see some of these so-called hunters dropped into the forest with bare hands and see what they can come out with. They'd be 15 pounds lighter and have eaten weeds and worms.
I have flown, ONCE in my 35 year life, and it was against my will. Stuff can fly, people should not. There is not any Force in the universe that can change my opinion on the matter so you're only going to make a fool of yourself if you try. I do not trust airplanes I never have and I never will. And no I don't trust roller coasters either.
You only don't trust something that you don't understand . If you guys understood the reasons why it is considered safe then you might be persuaded. But this is not about persuasion. You are denying reality. No one should force you to do things against your will, and you can have any belief that you want, but the reason why this is a problem is that you're going to go around trying to convince other people either on purpose or on accident that this isn't to be trusted. It is more efficient and safe.
@@crimsonfox87fluxule62 no, I understand airplanes. Has ZERO correlation on my trust. Thanks for passive aggressively trying to belittle my intelligence by implying airplanes are beyond my comprehension, btw. I don't trust any machine I'm not in control of, hence roller coasters. It's called "Skynet Syndrome".
@@Kr0n1kTh3Kl0wn I didn't mean to belittle your intelligence in any way. I don't understand planes fully either, I understand there are turbines there are powered by jet fuel and that there are very complex computer systems and highly trained pilots at the front of the thing, I know that there's a button for basically every scenario and every action you can think of. But that's about it. I genuinely didn't mean to cause you any offense. I apologize.
The drive by wire car is being used by a start up electric car company called Canoo. They are struggling for start up cash right now and I hope they survive because I think they are 100 times more innovative than Elon Musk and his Tesla company. Also, the last product. I personally think they're fins look like those of a ray style of aquatic animal.
Changing the response of the steering wheel on the fly is a TERRIBLE idea ! The driver will not know how the vehicle is going to respond and will therefore over or under steer is very likely making it dangerous.
im not a hunter but whats the point of having technology that gives the animal almost no chance. Its the same sort of people who use bait to attract the animals. Also, there are not many people (at least in first world countries) who actually NEED or even choose to hunt for food. And to clarify, I am not saying those who hunt don't eat their game. So I want to know the mindset of those people. Is it just about the enjoyment of killing living things and less about the sport/challenge of it?
So let me get this straight. We currently add sandbags to cars for extra weight now to make sure we have extra weight so they grip better but lighter more maneuverable cars are supposed to run better in snow?
Downside to electric steering... Is that someone else (like the cops or government) can take control of your steering and over ride your input. Of course they will tell you it is secure and is protected, but they said that about electronic locks for cars also. Didn't work out quite like they said.
Steer by wire 1:56 insanity this is actualy insanley dangerous when the car auto evades an obstacle but the wheel is not turning if anything is minimaly wrong once the driver takes over your tires may pointing in a direction that does not correspong to the steering wheel wich will lead to a disaster
cars becoming lighter, yeah right,EV's are a lot heavier than normal cars, and what with the rectangular stearing wheel, thats anoying to steer with (a car is not a plane),i hope self-driving cars are never alowed, one mistake in gps navigation and you end up in a river wich certain people already have by looking and listening explicitly to their gps
With the steer by wire and driverless cars in general. I worry about how they would handle even a small EMP like from a large solar flare. I know they can make cars basicly EMP proof, but because they never talk about it I doubt they are. It would be a great selling point.
Yeah I don't want my car making its own decisions, I am not in control of , people don't get they can't shut our cars off now but they will be able to soon , but this new gen isn't the brightest, they will give up anything to be lazy
Have you ever noticed that companirs are coming up with robotics and autonomous driving vehicles that reduce labor forces...THAT's The average Joe, that USED to have that job to sustain his family! What is a father to do in order to provide for his family?! All robotics are, are the means to an end...THE BLOODY END OF TAKING CARE OF AND PROVIDING FOR YOUR FAMILY !!!
Smart cars for stupid people. Your car can now spy on you, drive itself, report your location, automatically brake, stop, then parallel park itself after locking you inside. Then all is left to do is to wait for the cops to show up, or enjoy your detour if they tell your “smart car” to deliver your dumbass right to the police station! Then tell me how great that technologically advanced vehicle is!
They made a short little robot to replace a human being from doing small jobs. The problem with it is that it's a MILLION DOLLAR LAW$UIT waiting to happen the first time someone TRIPS on one. 🤦♂️
