Don't let Larson kid you or try to down play it, he has been doing great things for dirt racing the past several years and plenty of race fans show up at local tracks just to watch him race.
I agree with Mario Andretti, Tony Stewart, & Jeff Gordon. 3 of the all time greats in motorsports. They said it, Kenny echoed it, and ill 3rd it, as of right now Larson has already at 31 years old reached the goat status. People argue with me every time i say it but they just dont understand what is truly happening right in front of us right now
KYLE is definitely the best driver of his generation. Great he promotes dirt racing. Kenney don't sell yourself shirt. You are also great at promoting dirt races. People like you are saving dirt tracks. Thank you. Far too many tracks are gone
I can't believe this interview Herman isn't getting as much love as a fan would expect of this caliber.... Thank you both for sharing.... I love dirt first boys!
I have to say, I attended my first NASCAR race at Vegas, the Southpoint 400. I bought the pre race track pass and watching the drivers walk to the stage. Kyle spent a lot of time signing autographs on his way. Many of the drivers just walked by, and I get it, they do this every Sunday, but as a first time attendee, it was cool to get his autograph. I think that needs to be reminded that there are first time race goers every weekend. Kyle has made me a fan for life…. Oh and he won that race too!!!!!
I was so pissed when asscar blackballed Kyle for a little slip and being politically incorrect. They took away the driver with the most ability. Thank goodness they "allowed " him to return.
@Yeoitsski if you heard these guys talk when they are not being recorded you'd know this is normal. Not some of them, most of them. Same as any sport. People are just looking for things to get twisted up about these days
Larson definitely draws in more people to local tracks. I’ve seen more people at brownstown when he’s there than I’ve ever seen it. These tracks are definitely loving it when he comes.
When I learned of Larson and his driving talent, I became an instant fan. Followed his rise up into the #42. I knew he was gonna be an all time great 💪no bandwagons for me, been on this train from the start And i LOVE that you made the comparison to Schrader. Kenny was my all time favorite growing up, from the day he took over that #25 in 1988, until he retired. Was actually hoping Rick was gonna bring the #25 back for Kyle 😉 anyways, I had lost interest in nascar after Ken, and then Jr., retired. Finding Larson gave me someone to really route for again 🏆 pure talent
Kyle is such a humble guy. I can when you were complimenting him, he was getting uncomfortable. He is that racer that just doesn't come around very often. It's all instinct with him when he's racing. I think people are down on Nascar for a couple reasons. One is the inconsistences in punishments. The other is being able to watch the races themselves. People are stretched so thin in their budgets, they can't afford to stream. They only use to be on broadcast tv, now it's on USA and now for the 25 season they are going to try streaming service. Myself being on a fixed income, I can't afford streaming services. Great interview Kenny, thank you.
Thanks for the content glad you could get some good conversations with my family’s favorite driver. Kyle is the best and a respectable family man as are you.
Kenny - thanks for another excellent conversation where you pulled the curtain back so we could get a chance to see/learn about Kyle. Kyle - thanks for being so open and willing to do this - I enjoyed every minute!
Folks, we are literally watching history being made when that young man races something. To me, Tony Stewart was one of the best ever and Kyle topped him and anyone else. But this doesnt take away from any other GOAT like Scott Bloomquist or Steve Kinser or Mario Andretti ect... Kyle somehow is able to master many different disciplines of motorsports to the point of victory againt those GOATs.
My wife and I watched Kyle at 16 years old tearing up the Placerville, CA dirt track. Kyle came back this past year to Placerville and was great to watch him again. We are huge fans. I wish Kyle’s website showed all of his upcoming commitments to racing. These days we are rolling all over the country in our motorhome and would love to see him more. We caught the Roval this year and Vegas the following week. Would like to watch Kyle at more dirt tracks as well. KYLE, put your webmaster to work!!! Update, Update, Update all you’re doing at all the tracks!
Much respect for Kyle on focusing on awareness of the amazing talents of other racing series. NASCAR allowed “wokeness” to poison their brand and shit on the life long fans in hopes of bringing in koolaid hair people that doesn’t respect the heritage.
I'm nowhere NEAR as talented as Kyle is at ANYTHING, but I do understand how it's hard to teach something that you just instinctively and innately know how to do, lol.
Kyle Larson is the best I've seen and I have watched everything with wheels. When Kyle ran everything dirt in 2020 I was fortunate to follow him through out the Midwest. My favorite week may have been Indiana midget week,he joined a less than top teir team and drug them to the Championship and then as always gave big respect to the team he drove for. It has to make Paul Silva happy to hear him say he is The smartest person he has ever known. Can't wait for the Brickyard.
Kyle Larson has the same Edge as Kyle Busch had when he raced every race possible. Look at what happened to Kyle Busch when quit racing every series. I stop winning. Kyle Larson has struggled some to learn the new car, but he is still above the other Nascar drivers. Everything goes in swings. Even Chase Elliott has had a down turn with being able to win road course and on normal tracks.
Kyle is a Hall of Famer while in his prime of racing all different racing genre's. He's the best! Now, if only he would speak and keep sharing himself and life
I love watching Kyle racing and will always cheer for him. Can't wait to see him and SVG run together more this year and beyond. Will cheer for both Kyle and SVG forever.
Kenny can I post this here I bought my brother two older Dale Jr t shirts that have never been worn yet would any of your fans like to have them for free thanks again take good care of yourself
I love watching Non-Wing and Winged Sprints. Always exciting to see who is going to be able to make that last lap or last corner pass every race. Also like watching Dale Jr his late model on asphalt each year in their Series. May will be interesting seeing Kyle in that Indy Car. A different beast for sure.
Growing up in the 60's at the races at State Fair Park outside Milwaukee, and going with my midget racer dad to the other tracks in Wisconsin, it brought a tear to my eye to see Dick Trickle's "99" peaking out over your shoulder!
Watching from NZ....great interview Mr Wallace, thank you.....Kyle, your past "History Mystery Man" track side interviews are awesum, you're a great people person, not many have that. Drop in NZ on you way to Oz next year please.
Herman thank you very much!! Both my favorite racers having a conversation....it's so amazing to me that he has that God given talent..he can't explain it because he does that shit in the moment
Cannot believe that you have not done a follow up your young money conversation. You asked and he told you Cory Day was the new deal!! Been following CD since early 23 and KL nailed it. But you haven't followed up with the fact the CD has won his qualifying night at the Chili Bowl!!! C'mon man.... if that is not a morning coffee talk what is???😂😂😂😂
Still takes money$$$$. Even at the local level much beyond what some think other than the ones spending when you see their financial statement!!!!!!!!!!! We sold parts, gas, tires, chassis etc. since 1961. When you are behind the scenes, wow.
The only thing I would call bull on is how many fans he draws in. In 2020 I had not been to a sprint car race in 20 years, and went to dozens of races and Kyle was packing them in. I was frustrated when I went to outlaw races and couldn't buy his merch even though it was obvious he was packing them in.. High Limit is going to be awesome this year.
Hopefully Rick, Jeff and others realize a talent like Kyle only comes along once in a generation. To try to keep him to yourself would be denying the world great enjoyment. Also having been there realizing you're only 30 once.
Kyle, please be you, support your goals but please open up to the fans, especially the fans who geek out and support, or look forward to you in the dirt. You've shared more on Herms show, but we want more. Sorry, not sorry. You done good Herman!!!
Kyle Larson is continuously racing somewhere. He cannot rest. He loves to race and it shows most every time he’s on the track great guy driver him and Jimmy Johnson are my favorite drivers of all time.
Awesome interview with the 2nd best sprint car driver , but not knowing who Corey Day is mind boggling to me ,nobody's ever been as good as Corey this early in their career ,nobody.
