She has an amazing gift and sensitivity for the music. We must pay tribute to her amazing teacher who has himself the incredible ability to have recognised her gift, and worked out, with such patience and persistance, how to help her learn. He needs to be remembered.
Thank you Daniel for your gift of patience in nurturing Lucy's soul to sing for the world and for the obvious joy Lucy gets. Daniel without you Lucy and other children would not find their voice through music. 2:32
Not really considered "a gift" because different senses had to adapt due to her disability to live mainstream, it's amazing though how she learned differently from the normal way of learning to play music.
Lucy does more than repeat music she has learned by rote. She plays with a degree of expression that shows remarkable maturity. She understands the music. One can hear that in the way she brings out the voices in the left hand or accentuates the melody beautifully and intelligently. Lucy has a profound emotional effect on her listeners, which you can easily see because so many people are in tears. That is actually what music is for -- to affect the emotions of the listener.
Is that not miraculous as well as unbelievably beautiful and when so many meaningless people are rewarded in excess of their achievements, that outstanding, unassuming man is worthy of the highest award and reward that can be bestowed on him. What a remarkable and incredible experience it has been to see that performance. Thank you to everyone involved
@@caithnessviolinist7903 the man that facilitated the miracle and beauty of Lucy’s performances, Graham (?) Surely he deserves recognition for what he helped Lucy achieve???
As a physically disabled musician myself, it is so encouraging to watch musicians with other disabilities overcome their challenges to be able to play. Lucy is a phenomenal musician and it was so interesting to see how her teacher taught her. When I was 5 I was so pleased that I could press down a key. My fingers are very weak so I can only use a few of my fingers when I play and my teacher really had to adapt the way she taught me but I’m glad she believed it would work. I would really encourage all music teachers if you are ever asked to teach someone with a disability, no matter what it is, don’t walk away but give it a go! You might be surprised! Looking forward to watching more of Lucy’s piano playing on RU-vid!
Listening to her perfectly performed music and looking at her physical condition - makes it impossible to stop tears out of the eyes of everyone. I just can't believe what I am seeing and hearing about. A totally blind Child at an early age plays in the world of perfection by the stunning world of great professionals in music.
Daniel , Lucy's piano teacher must have a special gift himself in knowing how to reach children of special needs learn more about themselves through music , instrument of choice , The piano .. This is such a remarkable story and Lucy plays the piano most beautifully !! TFS !! much love ...
What an outrageous talent Lucy is I watched all episodes of this wonderful series but no one was as fabulous as her please release music of hers and let us see more of her wonderful wonderful 👏👏👏👏👏
Am I the only one who gets overwhelmingly emotional watching this?! Absolutely incredible! Lucy is a truly amazingly talented individual and is such an inspiration to me and should be such an inspiration to everyone. I'm in awe ❤
Words fail me! I cant ymtell you how many times Ive played Lucy's pieces, her Silent Night is magical. . She is magical and her parents deserve credit too for supporting their special daughter, as do her pisno teacher. Thank you Lucy , even though your playing makes me emotional & moves me to tears. You are a very special young lady with an amazing talent. ❤🎉
I can't tell anyone, just how many times I have watched her play. She is uniquely talented. I was wondering if Lucy swings her head while playing, is in part, the feeling of her hair on her shoulders or back. I could watch her every day!!! Lucy, you're such a beautiful and talented young lady.
As a social worker I used to help organise support for caregivers like Lucy's mum. I was constantly humbled by the dedication and sacrifice these quiet heros offer to their loved ones. To foster Lucy's talent like this and to find a wonderful teacher like Daniel is a remarkable achievement - it should inspire us all.
Lucy is a very beautiful white light, in a very dark and cynical world. We need you to shine forever for us. A mind blowing talent, who I can listen too for hours. Candice and Daniel are wonderful human beings.
She can't see notes, she can't see someone else playing or how they position their hands/fingers to the keys and the touch required... And she's 13!!!!!! Made my day.
Watched on repeat 10 times already. God makes the finest humans and with that sent us the self directed pianist Lucy the genius with her creative brilliance and happiness. Applause to her music teacher and mum. So uplifting.
What can I say? Lucy is a virtuosa. That perfect sound... Those beautiful hands. If I don't look at her I can say that Sviatoslav Richter is playing: That sound! Congratulations!!!
On a technical point, how does she learn the sheet music? By hearing and then replicating it? Or by following the hands of another piano player by feel and touch? She is incredible.
Yeah, God giving her cancer to make her blind and genetic defects to inhibit her ability to communicate and learn are truly a gift and blessing from God.
Lucy Stuns you’re my sweetheart Angel I love you very much you’re the goddess the best pianist in the universe May God bless your heart and protect you from any harm kisses and hugs
❤😢😅😊 HAVE A VERY HAPPY AND MAGICAL CHRISTMAS LUCY You are a 'WONDER OF THE WORLD'... You have changed the way in which I look upon living life. Thank you, XXX
How could anyone deny the supernatural hand of God, seeing Lucy's gift and many other instances that confound us globally. What a gift to Lucy and to all of us--a time of unequivocal spiritual instruction to us.
Was it your God's decision to blind her and give her debilitating developmental problems too? It's incredible that she has this ability, but do not make your fantasy being the hero of the day.
feel so sorry for blind people,Just hope there be something there for the future to restore blind peoples eyes to make them be able to have sight again,If any one else close there eyes,Think what life would be life,Its quite scary really
