Looks real in my experience. The safety pins and arming wire keep the fuses from being armed. The arming wire gets attached to the plane and the safety pins removed just before takeoff. When the bomb gets dropped the arming wire gets pulled and the fuses arm. The rest is in the hands of the gods.
