Rammstein describes the dark-clad figures as Zeithüter ("Timekeepers"). The girl on the hay wagons is mentioned in the credits as a daughter.

I want to thank you for being one of the very few male reactor that didn't look shocked or horrified when they show the scenes of the women giving birth. I was already expecting to see a look of disgust or some comment on how they shouldn't show that. So thank you very much for being a mature adult.

I've seen this Zeit video several times now. It always hurts my heart and makes me cry. I get scolded when the person I live with catches me watching it because of my heart issues.

Out of all the reactions to this, you guys are the first I've see to get the First / Last gasped breath at the very end. You may also have noticed when the band members are in the path of the sand, some are trying to hold it back and others are resigned to its passing, allowing it to pass over them and some the sand is flowing away from them. This is in my opinion is the best song / video since Deutchland saying that the new new one Angst is pretty darn fantastic as well.

My interpretation and thought was time goes on like a continuous cycle and those rare occasions when we are truly happy of course we want time to stop. The showing of the sand and hourglass ⌛ time keeps going and them showing the scenes reversing to me meant a desire to go back in time either to the moment of birth and start our lives over or to before we're even born saying no i don't even want to be born i want to go back before i was even conscious of my own existence and mortality. Them being blindfolded to me was no one knows whats going to happen in the future we don't know what kind of lives these babies are going to have.

Saw them live this year in denmark, and had the luck that they played this song! As he likes to do, Till changed one line, which was _ein Jeder kennt, den perfekten Moment (everyone knows the perfect moment)_ into _ihr alle kennt, den perfekten Moment (you all know the perfect moment)._

You're good examples that everybody experience time and this song in other ways and this song can emphasize your current emotional state. Just watch it when having a bad day or you have a sad mood. Never experienced anything like this before with a song.

Dear american friends i am bavarian, so german, so talking about RAMMSTEIN.These dudes are from east germany which doesnt exist anymore, thank god. They use a very graphic video and lyric way and you will have to dive deep into their lyrics to understand . Thanks to youtube there are clips to explain. Also they use pictures which on purpose are shocking...confusing. This is their way. Someone said if you think you found a new idea Rammstein has done it before. Now sure i am aware you dont speak german( ein kleines bisschen was pretty cool Lady) please find clips on youtube about the lyrics and their video message. I can almost promise you will like it. I just saw them in concert, nothing better. RAMMSTEIN is a complete package, lyrics, video, music, Till Lindemann is a poet in his own right. I really got into them watching Rammstein in Paris, since then I am a hard-core fan. The songs keep getting better and better

This is a more epic song from Rammstein than most of their songs. But it is not translated correctly with "Time - Stop" as you read the translation that you have found. Actually it should be translated as: Time - please stand still". The difference i see here is: "Stop" means there is an end. "Please stand still" means that one want to freeze time at some moment, knowing that i won't stay frozen forever...

It wasn’t the grim reaper, it was the three incarnations of time, past, present and future. And it wasn’t dust it was the sands of time. Did you notice the hourglass shape with a mirror image of the women giving birth in bottom and on top with the sands flowing through the hour glass. Good reaction, I’m an old guy too and appreciate your videos. Also I like that you have different guest from time to time. Keeps it interesting seeing new people reacting to (especially) Rammstein…

Apparently all of it is real sand and no CGI used, hence the blindfolds. The sculptures at the end were even made by sand carvers.

I think the woman turning into a child is just a reminder that everyone is someone's child no matter the age. We tend to be more sympathetic or take greater notice if a child dies but to the parents, does it really matter if their kid dies at 5 or at 50? Beautiful reaction from the two of you!

what is bad giving birth? The most normal thing in the world this is beautiful! OK....here it is vice versa :-)

Another thing that came to my the babies being put back in to the mother to be born again on earth and also coming back in a sense they died on earth and are now being born in the other world and their birth or rebirth on earth is them already starting to die because as soon as your born your dying..your dying to live or as Rammstein put it "Wir sterben weiter bis wir leben" "We keep dying until we live" because in a sense what we perceive as dying is us actually being born again into the other world that's why the girl in the end seems happy when she dies because she knows that her death here means her being born over there..if that makes any Sense? This is art at its finest..a true Masterpiece!!

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not, but this tune is VERY similar to a Christian song “Every soul needs a Savior”. I was just listening this song on the radio and was like, “Wait, this is Rammstein’ “Zeit” song tune. And that song was like 15 years ago popular on the radio.

You can't predict what's coming and how your life is going, and how and when it'll end…
