Yamaha will teturn to the front. This is a development phase. Remy's performance was very commendable considering his inexperience on the bike. ✌️

The riders he beat are the most hopeless in MotoGP so very unimpressive performance really. Remy Gardner doesnt deserve this ride at all. He is a precocious brat that thinks he is better then everyone else. He shot himself in the foot when riding for KTM in MotoGP and showed his true colours as being an immature AH. 👎👎👎

Yamaha bikes are not as powerful as Ducati

Power is not the issue. All of the MotoGP bikes run retarded power until in the upper gears. Usually 3rd gear gets say 5-10% more, then another in 4th, 5th, 6th etc. Top speed at some tracks the Yamaha is as fast, or close enough to the Ducati to make little difference. The issues Yamaha & Honda have are pretty complex, but revolve around chassis design, rider aids & aero. When Yamaha made progress with their aero to improve traction they killed the way the bike could change direction - this is pretty much the issue all of them have. You will not that Ducati aero only changed minutely once they got it sorted. Aprilia and KTM were constantly chopping and changing for a while, but have settled on a fairly consistent paskage while Honda and Yamaha are still making some pretty serious changes. I think the problem which haunts the Japanses bikes is that they based a lot of the aero on F1, which is great while the bike is upright and going in a straight line, but F1 cars do not lean over like MotoGP bikes. A lot of the side ducting and aero is about balancing the effects - down-draft to push the bike onto the ground for better traction while leaned over, but also creating reverse ground effect to counter this to a certain extent. As a side note, I also think the aero is creating so many tire issues that once they remove a lot of it the tires will become more stable. Michelin creates a tire based on current aero and data, but when the manufacturers produce new aero (such as the wings on the forks, the re-shaped belly pans, stuff on the seats, eblow the swingarm etc, this changes the load on the tires and usually makes them worse in many circumstances. With the size of the grid, the number of races, the number of tires required for each round etc, Michelin makes the bulk of the years allocation during the off-season break and the first few months of the year. Each bike gets 12 tires per event, so Michelin needs about 7 each of soft/med/hard per bike as well as rain tires - say 20 slicks and 18 wets - times the number of bikes as well as a few spares to make up for any damaged during fitting or shatever. About 300 to 350 tires per round. As well there are numbers required for testing - that is a hell of a lot of rubber to make and ship. Pretty certain I heard somewhere between 900 and 1000 are required per season.

@@RustyRacer29 Excellent analysis. The dynamic of bikes has changed dramatically, in many aspects, since my years with Team Kawasaki GB. Thankyou.
