Considering they’re gods, I wouldn’t expect them to age normally. I don’t know that we can infer too much yet about actual time passage. They *are* in conflict with Chronos though, which might be relevant.

@@NarfiRef I would imagine the gods' appearance tends to reflect their current status and quantity of worshippers, seeing as how they're effectively immortal. For instance, here they are LOSING A WAR against a Titan, so they are all armored up and looking a bit more grim than Hades I.

I truly hope they spend more time on the God's artwork in 2, they all seem unfinished with less details. They definitely need a hell lot of extra work and details. And voices will have to be perfected as well. First game literally hit perfection on absolutely everything, too hard to even come close.

In the unfinished family painting, Zag's skin looks "healthier" compared to his grey skin he shared with his old man and the other chthonic gods in the first game. He looks like what he would have looked like if he survived his birth and was raised on Olympus. Edit: Just noticing that some characters like Charon and Hestia don't have illustrations yet, probably because they're still working on designing some characters.

Seems like chronos reset the timeline and zag is marrying persephone this time instead of hades, and their daughter is melinoe Wonder if they killed chronos timeline will return, and since melinoe is on another dimension i wonder how they handle the return part

When I first saw the Hades Tech Test, they didn't have artwork for most of the Oplympian Gods. It still captivated thousands of people. Should their methods and development remain on par, a Tech Test should still hold up better than most "AAA" games do, even after the slew of month 1 patches.

Yeah, Early Access Hades builds had the exact same "figure in robes with no face" artwork for characters like Charon and Nyx, that eventually got replaced with more "official" artwork as newer builds rolled out.

Interesting indeed! Brings back memories of the first game which I unexpectedly loved playing. 100 runs, 44 wins (almost 48!) and I 100% the game on run 100. It doesn't get better than that honestly. Very excited to see what the second game has in store for us. Thanks so much for the video.

Implying Zagreus and fam were killed by Chronos makes my heart sink a little. I'm so excited for Hades II, absolutely enamored with the series. Thrilled that you get to check out the game already! Hope you'll jump in at least one or two more times to check out different boons and especially the other weapon that looks like it is available in the demo!

I think the odds of not meeting either zag or hades are very very low. Its pure fanservice and everyone wants to see what happend to the old characters, which they understand ofc considering hypnos coma and skelly being back.

They were supposedly defeated and captured by Chronos, not much else is known. I think during supergiant's stream at one point Melinoe had a line where she wondered what Chronos really did to them.

I think if they want to be the meanest possible they are gonna have like a possessed zag as one of the bosses- I can just imagine some shit where he swaps between all the old weapons and that fun stuff, and kinda acts as a mirror boss

@@Wizard9621 id hate for that to be the case. Beating zag (our old character) as the new character kinda depreciates zagreus just to build up the new main character. You wouldnt want kratos as a side boss in the next god of war right? And obviously he cant be the main boss so it WILL just be a sideboss..

Not that I want to make you sad, but the full release is likely a fairly long time away. The technical test will run for up to a month and then they'll launch Early Access "soon" after that. Then it will be in Early Acess for an unknown amount of time, but I'd be shocked if it's shorter than at least half a year. Their other EA runs was much longer than that.

Today was a banger for indie players and this proves it. And I would love to see more of this. And it makes sense that the fire goddess true form is hidden currently given she wasnt in the first game and they cant fully spoiler her look yet.

I don't think it's that deep. The first game used these placeholder sprites for unfinished characters, and I'm sure that's exactly what they're doing this time as well. Charon is also cloaked at the moment, and I'm sure many others will be.

I’m actually rooting on you to beat the boss on the first (abet wanted you dead) run and see how everything play out afterward, sure you are there but I sus on that sheep curse. Still can’t be sure because you are right next to the boss when you are polymorphed there. 😅

33:24 It does do burn. You only hit with the one attack so it didn't stack very high and fell off really quick unlike repeatedly hitting an enemy with your base hit.
