Put it this way, the US import oil from the middle east. If the oil you import is being compromised by insecurity in the region than you may lose your supply or the price will increase significantly. Which mean you, as an American will pay higher prices and so on. They don't make a 105mm that is auto loaded, that's why , its a standard smaller artillery gun, repurposed for the AC130

the 30mm guns that are in these gunships accept the same rounds as the A-10's gun can use (although its a different gun) But Im not sure if they actually bring PGU-13 ammo (the depleted uranium round). I doubt it. Typically they do not deploy one of these gunships to any place that has anything which poses a threat to it. It wont go anywhere AA guns are. And its certainly the wrong choice to send to attack tanks or any armor so bringing DU rounds is pointless as you almost certainly never need to penetrate heavy armor. light armored vehichles like trucks or transports dont require armor piercing rounds. High Explosive 30mm rounds will tear those apart. And thats not to mention the 105mm M102 guns. The M102 doesnt have any Depleted Uranium rounds. In fact I dont think it has any type of AP rounds. the M102 is normally an artillery crew gun. As for the 20mm gun the only DU rounds that the US has in that caliber are in Phalanx defense guns. The ones that use a radar to automatically shoot down incoming missiles, rockets, etc.

WHY?, what is your interpretation of how cowards fight?. Cowards don’t fight, by the very definition of the word cowards don’t want to be in any sort of combat or war. If you meant that the use of weapons like this is somehow “not playing fair” then what are military personnel supposed to fight with?, perhaps you would like to see a country trying to protect itself with superior weapons not use them because the other side don’t possess weapons of equal capability?.
