Sometimes I forget how old I am. I was thinking going into this, "Who hasn't heard the Righteous Brothers sing 'You've lost that loving feeling' before". Then I see how young Shiloh is and realize that the GenZ's (Possibly Millennial?) of course have not heard this music before. I'm so happy to see that these classics are getting revitalized by this generation. Shiloh, you should check out some more classics. Check out The Temptations singing "Earth Angel", Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train to Georgia", Otis Redding's "(Sitting on) The Dock of the Bay", and Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreaming". I think you will like them.

I hear what you’re saying but this was old when I was her age (the 90s) and people just seemed to have a far broader knowledge of old music. And that was at a time RU-vid, Spotify etc. didn’t exist so access to music was radio, television or buying albums which cost a ton. I can’t believe how little young people seem to know about old music and movies which for my generation was our lifeblood.

And remember, there were no computers yet. It was all pure talent. Like you said... no editing, no auto-tune. I love listening to the "old time" music when it was pure talent. It didn't matter if you were "socially beautiful" you just had to have talent. Then throughout the 70s up to the early 2000s looks were more inportant in the music industry because they could digitally tune you to a better voice, even live on stage. Now with all of the singing and talent competition shows the base talent of singing is becoming more important again. Although, even there it seems like many judges are looking at appearences unless the talent is superstar quality from the first audition. Thanks for "bringing back that 'Loving Feeling'". Great song to review. It still gets me in the feels, even as a 50 year old man (well in about three weeks I'll be 50). Love your reaction. Keep up the broad spectrum of musical reviews. Beautiful reaction, would you do a comparison to Elvis version of you lost that love and feeling from his 1970 performance in Vegas live. I'd love your opinion

True. It was when someone had heard them sing, their comment was "you are some Righteous Brothers", and they chose that as the duet's name.

Their black band mates used to call them that. They took it as their name.

@@briancox5530 they weren't bandmates who called them that...they were originally called The Paramours, and at many of their earlier gigs,a group of black marines would often attend, and at the end of one show, one marine stood up and shouted " that was righteous, brothers" hence the legend was born, and it wasn't long before Medley and Hatfield changed their name to The Righteous Brothers.

Next listen to them doing "(You're My) Soul And Inspiration". Bill Medley is still alive and singing at the ripe young age of 80. He and the late Bobby Hatfield were not related.
