Every time I‘m watching these kind of videos, my German ‚safety-for-workers‘-loving heart is pumping with anxiety. I mean seriously. Some of these work steps look so freaking dangerous (or they are really loud) and these poor guys walk around without any kind of protective clothing or ear protectors

I've watched quite a bit of the "third world metal crafts" content and one question always returns: do they know about work benches? Everything is done squatting and working directly on the floor, or stooped over, or sitting on some random thing that's 10 inches high.

Are you getting fired if you dare wearing any protective equipment ? How is it possible in all those videos nobody has gloves, protective shoes, eyes protection when welding. Everything is savage, it's like made on purpose.

Unorthodox theory, but I'm curious if there is a hyper- awareness among the employees of what could and probably has happened injury wise that makes them more vigilant given the lack of PPE.

This is not hell. These are the souls that supply the fire and heat for hell.

Please don't be so critical about safety standards in Pakistan. Their government doesn't give importance to safety issues. If it was India the factory inspector would have had the owner on the coals for such blatant negligence of safety standards. In India too some industries disregard safety measures. Especially in the fireworks industry. But the factory inspectors always try to be on the spot for safety violations.

Lead content of the brass is how much? No masks, poor ventilation, safety equipment? Their Union must really be incompetent.

Look up 'zinc shakes' or 'zinc flu'. The fumes from molten brass is mostly zinc burning off. You can see where they have a zinc ingot ready to go into the crucible to replace what has been lost in the melting process. 🫠 They really need quality respirators.
