You get a 1/4 of a kill by being 1 of a flight of 4 that all scored hits on an aircraft that was shot down. Shared kill credits were fairly common in WW2. George Preddy, the highest scoring P-51 pilot, was officially credited with 26.83 victories.

the trend since 2022 is smaller watches anyway but a 16mm lug is IMHO to early.. people need some time to get used to that.. normally you could switch to a 20mm Bundstrap but this watch is already rather thick.

Nice watch but it'd look like a women's watch on my 8" wrist.

Great review and a very nice watch! I received a small vintage watch for Father's Day this year from my daughter. It's 33mm with a 16mm lug width. I really like the watch, but it was quite small on my wrist so I ended up putting it on a soft leather bund strap to give it more width. It really looks good! Perhaps that would work on this watch as well?

They make some great watches, but this one doesn't get my blood racing. As a memorial display piece, it may be a bit pricey. I also don't have a great association with this period of the US military , so it is also not my first choice in display pieces. Just received my Steinhart Ocean One GMT on a jubilee bracelet, a pepsi bezel (Ceramic) and a blue face. Looking forward to getting it sized. Also has a sapphire crystal. Watch is 42mm.

This thing is cool...Part of me wishes they update it a tad. Like maybe a 39mm or 40mm and an accompanying strap. I would consider this over a Hamilton any day...very cool vid...thanks for bringing something you dont see everyday....
