Been waiting for this - thanks Josh and Craig! Update (two months later): This video sold me on ordering a kit. I got it a week ago and love it! It's the funnest drum set I've played in many years. Yes, it's very light weight. If you're a gigging drummer, you really should look into this option. The sound in this video is 100% representative of what I hear when I play mine. Fit and finish is spot on, and they look super nice. I'm 100% happy with them.
Another update - close to a year with this kit, have gigged and recorded with it quite a bit. Still love it, highly recommend checking it out. All my initial impressions still hold up.
Update (again) - about two years with this kit, and still in love with it. It has over 200 shows in the last two years, and it's been rock solid. I still 100% recommend it.
Well…you guys got me. Just placed my order for this kit last night. Craig was kind enough to exchange a few emails a while back. I’m really impressed with the entire INDe lineup. Plus…it’s great to support a company right here in the Midwest. Looking forward to my WaFarer kit. Cheers🍻
After listening to this video about a dozen times I placed my order for this kit with the brass snare. Josh took my order over the phone and was awesome to speak with. Drums shipped out today and hopefully by Saturday I’ll have them here! Look forward to gigging with this kit and my lightweight Yamaha aluminum hardware. Thanks Josh.
At middle tuning it sounds the best, and has the lowest fundamentals and best overtones. physics are weird I guess. I learned long about that tuning your kick higher (to a point) gives it more thud.
Wow! These drums really sound amazing for their sizes. I have been wondering if drums with shallow depths would still sound good and this answers that question. I thought that the shallow depth would affect the sustain but it doesn't seem to.
