Hi Soumyajit, great work and content. I am not a grammar nazi but I think it should be "on my channel" instead of "in my channel" (just a suggestion). Listening to it feels odd.
Sir you're fabulous, i mean I'm your subscriber since 1+ year and your videos are very helpful your topics of videos is like very few people made on that!! You have helping nature and way reply to every comment and help us is very kind!!!
Sir you mentioned that indeed hires SDE 1 who have more than 0 year experience, so as a fresher we cannot apply in it if we don't have experience specially via off-campus???????
Bro, please explain the interview process. How many rounds. What type of rounds are there. And please talk only in English. I can't able to understand some of the content you speak in Hindi.
Nobody talks about the Tier system that company's follow these days. Contrary your salary breakdown is from a Tier 1 perspective. If you can elaborate on this. Why company's follow this trend till now?
@Soumyajit Bhattacharyay Hi Friend you are videos are wonderful very helpful. The good thing about your channel is you speak Hindi and parallel you translate it to english . Since i dont know hindi it is very helpful , so always speak the way you do currently so that i can easily follow you. Thank you . Keep rocking :)
Please share your indeed interview experience.. and there is quest. In my mind. If every job role is for remote work. Then why you said they hire for Tokyo , Singapore from India only.. So the person won't go Tokyo, Singapore to work or something else it mean???
Hello sir... First of all very very thankyou since i suggested u to make video and u reolied that time positively and today i am able to see this. Thankyou for the efforts u gave for this video. My one question is i applied for some positions of indeed long ago but no answer from that side. So will you tell me the exact procedure and how to get it as applications through official website is not working.... Once again thanks for this video...
And as per glass door The typical Indeed Software Engineer salary is ₹ 21,36,963 per year. Software Engineer salaries at Indeed can range from ₹ 10,38,314 - ₹ 33,63,072 per year. This estimate is based upon 16 Indeed Software Engineer salary report(s) provided by employees or estimated based upon statistical methods. When factoring in bonuses and additional compensation, a Software Engineer at Indeed can expect to make an average total pay of ₹ 24,59,048 per year.
I would say please don't use Glassdoor as the salary there are out dated. Simple example the minimum yearly salary for sde 2 at Amazon is around 55 LPA. But that you will not find in Glassdoor. Every college grad who is getting promoted in 1.5 years of experience or more are getting 55 lakhs of yearly salary.
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay Please correct me if I’m wrong SDE 2 annual compensation is minimum 35LPA and can go upto 60LPA 55 LPA is the higher side A new joinee usually gets promoted to SDE 2 within 2 yoe. After 6 yoe he can become a SDE 3 where the annual compensation will be around 80 LPA to 1.3 Crores per Annum Here I’m talking about Amazon
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay most of people do not know this and you must be knowing that ,The actual CTC is the 2nd year CTC and this is important because if you make a switch / look for a new job, then this actual CTC is used to consider for new offer. The high CTC is not taken into consideration… Let’s say at Microsoft your quoted CTC is Rs 39,40,000 (~39.4 lakhs). Base Salary: Rs 12,00,000 which is further divided into two components: Basic salary and flexible Base Plan (FBP) Basic: Rs 4,72,000 and FBP: Rs 5,28,000 Joining bonus of Rs 3,00,000 (Rs 1,50,000 in the first month and Rs 1,50,000 after 1st year) Stock Award: $30,000 (given over 4 years) ~ Rs 22,00,000-23,00,000 Relocation bonus: Rs 1,00,000 (given if you are coming from another city) Note: This is not included in CTC so this is extra as you will get this only if you claim it. Performance bonus: Rs 2,40,000 (20% of Base salary) Note: 20% is the maximum if your company (Microsoft in this case) hits its overall goal. It can be less than 20% and even 0%. So, it varies. There are other components where you can get extra money provided you claim those. These are not included in CTC. These include: Medical expenses (Within a given limit) Travel expenses and others. Therefore, the following components are added to arrive at the final CTC Base Salary: Rs 12,00,000 Joining bonus: Rs 3,00,000 Stock Award: Rs 22,00,000 Performance bonus: Rs 2,40,000 This gives the CTC as Rs 39,40,000. The following components are one-time that is these components are not considered in the CTC of your 2nd year at Microsoft. So, the 2nd year CTC is always less than the 1st year CTC: Joining bonus: Rs 3,00,000 Stock Award: Rs 22,00,000 Therefore, your 2nd year CTC will be Rs 14,40,000.. In New tax regime, you cannot do tax saving. In Old tax regime, you can do tax saving like in Fixed deposit, Interest in loans and much more. This is useful only if you have to pay a large amount of interest for loans like education loan, house loan and others. Let us calculate the minimum salary: You are doing no tax saving and are in New tax regime. You did not receive any bonus (0%). Then, you get the base salary of Rs 12,00,000 only. On this, you pay tax of 20%. Tax = 2.5 * 0.05 + 2.5 * 0.1 + 2.5 * 0.15 + 2 * 0.2 = 1.15 So, you pay Rs 1.15 lakhs in salary. Your in-hand salary is Rs 10.85 lakhs. So, your monthly in-hand salary is Rs 90,417. Let us calculate maximum salary: Let us assume you do tax saving investments and are in Old tax regime. If you have loan and give interests, you can save tax on the interest up to FBP. So, you have to pay tax on Basic salary of Rs 4,72,000. Tax = 2.22 * 0.05 = Rs 11,100 You get the performance bonus of Rs 2,40,000 and tax is deducted on it. So, in-hand bonus is Rs 2,28,000. So, in-hand salary is Rs 11,88,900 per year and it is Rs 99,000. Therefore, your in-hand monthly salary range from Rs 90,417 to Rs 99,000. Your 2nd year CTC / actual CTC will be Rs 14,40,000 per year and not Rs 33,40,000 per year. Note -You’ll be getting stocks worth 22 lakhs but you’ll have to pay 30% tax +10 % long term capital gains tax on them and if you leave the company in between the unvested stocks will be forfeited I’m speaking from first hand experience At Walmart a SDE 3 gets
@@am-dc4et no these are very old compensation. The revised sde 2 compensation is 55lakhs/yr min and 79lakhs/yr max. And sde 3 is 1.2 cr/year min and 1.68 cr/yr max And one can become an sde 3 with 4.5 yoe.
@@am-dc4et again, i have always quoted yearly salary in each of my videos and not CTC. As in the industry CTC is not considered. As a result, in all these videos i have not even included the joining bonus. And companies also do not calculate CTC as you have indicated. It is the college placement cells who do that.
Bhaiya do you think leetcode questions and contest performance mention way as good as cp contest performance in resume I am going to prepare for leetcode and advised to shift to leetcode for that and with this hectic first year i can't balance both so what do you advise bhaiya
@@SoumyajitBhattacharyay thanks bhaiya actually My jee rank is not good so I am pursuing Marine engineering but I have keen interest on coding. Please upload a video on name of the companies hire non- circuital branch also as a freshers with compensation. 🥺
Great video but since most of you don’t know ( speaking from first hand experience) Working at google or any other FAANG won’t make you rich ,if you’re living abroad , you have to live in Silicon Valley, Seattle, London, or a handful of other expensive cities. This means that even though you make bank, you have higher expenses. People who live frugally can expect to afford to buy a reasonable house, drive a reasonable car, and take reasonable vacations. They have money to dine out. If they are injured or laid off, their finances are secure enough that they don't end up living in a cardboard box. Some googlers live frugally simply because they spend 14 hours a day at work. They don't have kids because they don't have time to date outside of work, and there is one woman for every 15 men at work. They take expensive vacations because, after busting their asses for three years, suddenly they have four weeks off before the next project starts and the clock is ticking. Some googlers have nice cars, because they spend an hour commuting each way. But, on average, googlers and microsofties are not sprawling in the hot tub of their 8,000 sq ft mansion in between driving their Ferrari to work and jetting off to Alta. Some of the managers live pretty well, but they are 45 or 50, and have been growing their cash pile for 30 years, plus they were there at the IPO. In short, working at google, microsoft, or any other big company won't make you rich, any more than any job you can get with a college education will. Spending less than you earn over a full lifetime or else hitting the powerball jackpot are what makes you rich.
Hi sir, thanku for the amazing videos. Just wanna ask if companies really care whether a fresher has done Android dev Or web or ml?? Does it affect the selection probability
I hope this comment doesn't go unnoticed though it is very unprofessional to ask an advice this way sir and I apologize for it. Sir, I am at a failure of making a proper decision. I did nothing in my placement season of college, mine was a tier-3 college and I did not want to waste my time with service based companies (Regretting now). And I am an ECE a graduate, though I have very little experience coding, only when I was interning at a company for summer, apart from that, I was ignorant for the most of my college life and missed a ton of opportunities for IT companies. Now I am planning on giving gate the coming year to get into an IIT for mtech, only for a good placement opportunity. So can you suggest would it be right to go for gate and prepare for 6 months or 1 year more, only for a placement in product based companies or is it possible that even with my crappy profile, if I get my DSA right will I be able to apply for product based companies? TL;DR I am an unplaced ECE graduate (did not sit for placements because only service companies) who wants to get hired at a good product based company, with a good package, should I go for Mtech from IITs or just work on my DSA and get my projects right for 1 year and then apply for these companies?
