Why is it that when software engineers get laid off it makes news when this happens in every other industry every day? What is so special about them

In other words, the CEO wants his bonus and it's time for him to show the share holder their stock is up.

No jobs. No need for Indeed.

The reason behind this is simple, most companies arent actually hiring and the job market is in very dire shape. Soon even the management across all tech will see a turbulent restructure. There's no sustainable growth in tech because there's no sustainable living, why would anyone consume, invest or start a new company when they can barely pay the rent? and even if they do start a business, why would anyone even hire a human these days? The days of happy tech growth is over, one smartphone alone is enough to take up most people's free time, and most of their free time will be spent on 3 maybe 4 apps, and even those apps aren't making a big profit anymore.
