(In case you didn't know) In 1776, Continental Congress issued the Declaration of Independence. Which means, AMERICA, was born on 1776. a.k.a. INDEPENDENCE DAY. You understand now? Yes, but I can understand his confusion due to us being very conscious of the Marine Corps Birthday, which is 10 Nov 1775. I almost thought they flubbed it too, until a second later I realized it was a July 4th video. So, go easy on him. Plus, we tend to eat crayons pretty regularly, and they can block some of the neurons in our brains from firing properly!! Semper Fi!

I do believe that most in the Marines and the whole of the military take their oaths to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States as a solemn vow. What's going on today, with the SCOTUS making Kings out of Presidents, I greatly hope that we don't have to relive 1776 again...
