GREP is such a great feature… would love to see more on GREP

Great tips! Another way to handle the case issue is to start your expression with (?i), which turns off case-sensitivity, or in InDesign's thinking, turns ON case-INsensitivity. And, if you wanted to find "grill" without matching "grilling," you could use \b (ie, "grill\b"), which matches any word boundary. Grep is an endless journey, but so useful.

Hi 👋 I have some questions about indesign please 1- Can we make multiple change at once? Like putting a nonbreaking space on all punctuation marks in one klick (by GREP or Script) 2- Can we make several styles when selecting all, such as the beginning of the paragraph in bold and the text in a specific style I am waiting your answer Thank you 🙏

How would you adapt this expression to only find the first version of a word? So in your example, "grilling", it might appear multiple times, but you want to just find the first instance of "grilling" and only format that... I've tried using the repeat zero or one time ? but doesn't seem to work...

GREP wants to search by paragraph, so even a zero or one time would start over at each para. You could do a “semi auto” search in F/C where search and either skip or approve a replacement.
