India’s Cabinet Committee on Security has approved two major defence deals, including the acquisition of nuclear-powered attack submarines and 31 Predator MQ-9B drones from the US. The submarines will be indigenously built, likely at Visakhapatnam’s Ship Building Centre, significantly enhancing the Navy’s presence in the Indian Ocean.
