Major work is in progress in background at the moment and project is on track for 2023 completion.This route is just a start towards a new era of infrastructure in India and I am super excited for that. And thats why I am sharing a series of videos on this never-before project in our country's history.
Govt has clarified that the cost will be in the range of current train fares. Exact fares not yet clarified but thats a great news although I have my own reservations about this news. I dont' want it to become a social welfare program. If we are saving time, we need to pay for that.
Official channels of western Rail has clarified that the 40% seat vacancy is just a myth & its far more than that. But I think we should rather look at commuter’s demand in 2023 / 2024- That is 5-6 years from today and we’ll understand that high speed trains are needed not only on this route but on a lot of routes in India.
Bullet train is based on proven Japanese Shinkansen technology. 100 member design team is currently working on tweaking the engineering of the Shinkansen technology to adpat it to Indian conditions.
Latest work progress- Geo-tech analysis is almost complete , undersea tests are also complete between BKC & Boisar. And Actual work is set to begin towards mid2018.
These days, Indian citizens are behaving less like citizens and more like political volunteers. Its not needed guys. I just hope common sense prevails in at least normal citizens like us. We need to understand that it's not in our interest to blindly oppose these steps towards better infrastructure. We need to come together and work on this ‘First of a kind’ project in India’s history. Its time to take India in high speed lane !!!
