I love watching these photos and films. The commentary in this one was so very much of the colonial mentality, so 'superior' it was painful to hear the commentators words. Gosh our ancestors had such an arrogant attitude towards the rest of the world. Glad empire is over.......

Thank you. As much as the picture is beautifully done, more urgently relevant to us people of Bharath is the commentary. Paying close attention to it we can realize how cunning and adroit, and ultimately successful, was the attempt of the British , at retaining and keeping its star colony enslaved and pride-less, even after physically quitting it. There is an expressive Native American ( I think) saying - “ There is no better way of destroying ‘other’ peoples than transforming them to be exactly like yourself. “ What fools we people of India are!
