It’s said that India had universities like Nalanda, Takshashila etc that could rival present day cambridge university. It’s said that when these buildings were burnt, it kept burning for days - imagine the amount of knowledge we lost with it. We lost our language - Sanskrit. One thing we can do is revive our language sanskrit and introduce vedas to the next generation.

New research by the renowned economist Utsa Patnaik -just published by Columbia University Press - deals a crushing blow to this narrative. Drawing on nearly two centuries of detailed data on tax and trade, Patnaik calculated that Britain drained a total of nearly $45 trillion from India during the period 1765 to 1938. It’s a staggering sum. For perspective, $45 trillion is 17 times more than the total annual gross domestic product of the United Kingdom today.

Thanks for these beautiful photographs. India is not an ordinary place. India was the highest civilisation on earth. India is the land in which the Supreme Father - Supreme Soul descended from the Supreme Abode, around 1936, to give salvation to human souls. Included in the knowledge He gave, is the history and geography of the world, and knowledge of souls and the Supreme Soul. The future of Bharat is included in this knowledge. Visit any Brahma Kumaris Centre around the world and inquire about the knowledge our Supreme Father - the Supreme Soul has given. May peace be with us all.

Many of us know only about British who colonized us. What about Mughals and people who invaded India before them. It’s said that India had universities like Nalanda, Takshashila etc that could rival present day cambridge university.
