Oh, sure, India-the team that managed to beat Australia in Australia twice and secured test series draws in England and South Africa. But of course, Michael Vaughan still thinks India needs spin-friendly conditions to win. Wouldn't it be nice if we could say the same thing about England
@@friendlyneighborhood5226 South Africa performs better than England, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan in spin-friendly conditions in India and Wi due to players like Stubbs, Markram, and Klaasen, who have strong abilities to play spin.
@@jetpark3743 Mate look at how much you Indian fans were whining after we beat you in your own backyard at the finals in 2023.. you've only won a T20 world cup, that too after 11 years, having the best squads and all the control of the ICC.. nobody has anything to be jealous about from India!
Just to let everybody know that the boundary was extended by Nortje in the first over of indian inning while saving the straight drive four from Kohli.
@@11hitmanDageniusdon't act like you are British 😂 who didn't won any ICC trophy untill 2018 & & Your Father & Grandfather all r Indian, Don't teach ur FATHER ❤️
The only reasonable cricket team they consider are ENG,AU and their little sons NZ nd SA, other than this set of team every other team in the planet earth is unreasonable.
England, Australia, Pakistan, Bangladesh were not happy seeing India winning the game.. this is how it's if you r on top then everybody wants you to lose 😅...
27:57 bumrah is best in test also . What he done in eng vs India test series . That was magic . Also his average in test , no one ever had in test history . Reverse swing is hard nowdays also
as far as i know the reason why india was playing earlier in the morning is due to broadcasting partner wanted they get prime time in India... the plan was signed off my all countries so Mr. Michael Vaughan talk to ECB
All Asian countries pakistan Bangladesh india Nepal srilanka dubai oman etc have same time gone and huge market for cricket. Icc isn't fool to keep at mars time where majority of its viewers which are from Asian countries cant watch.
These crybabies will talk about how some useless scheduling gave advantage but wont talk about the real disadvantage that ICC gave India - We were forced to play on the worst NY pitches just to get the American Dollars. England and Australia got better pitches throughout the tournament. India could have been knocked out in the league stages itself. Did u see BCCI create tantrums about the pitches?
I’m an Indian fan, and yeah, some our fans can be a little wrong, but the English making such a big deal about conditions was a bit of a farce. This English team had no business being on the field against India. Just like how India were completely outplayed by an excellent English team in the last World Cup
Everytime they say we have given attacking approach to cricket. Then why the hell it doesn't work for them on slow pitches. It's completely seen that england are just best on flat tracks
A few thoughts: 1. Klasen hit the 15.5 ball to Dube and Pant caught the return throw a bit awkwardly. Pant got treatment after the over, so maybe he got a nigle there. Pant did have an accident that affected his knees. 2. I've heard from Micheal Atherton and Jeff Lemon, who had a birds eye view from the commentary position, that they could see green grass between SKY's foot and the rope. 3. The rope being at the wrong place was just dumb luck. Ps. the rule 19.2 (or something) you talked about does not apply here because the line on the grass was not the white demarcation for the boundary that is being talked in the rule. The marks were from the rope being there at a certain time and the grass underneath it burning up.
For these gentlemen that think they're funny by keep mentioning the semi final venue, can they explain why the 1975, 1979 and 1983 ODI world cups were held only in England giving them the home advantage (which they couldn't use). Why weren't those three world cups (or at least one of them) held outside England. Hasn't England gotten enough of a headstart in cricket. Despite all the headstart, the only ODI world cup they could manage was through a tie break in home conditions. Pipe down boundary count champions.
*BOWLERS SAVED????? 180 in a T20 WC Final is a huge score on that pitch. Rohit ne Klassen ko do overs spin ke jo end mai diye, Axar, Kuldeep only that brought the game close. Varna India kabka jeet jaati*
Hahaha more than the final i’m glad we smashed England in the semis…all that crying from vaughan about rain favouritism by icc 😂 and at the end it didn’t even rain.
others have not matured. england is home of cricket and as it is just one off deal it is going that way. but in future it might go to aus,sa then india.
If the boundary was pushed back from one side of the ground where SKY took the catch, then the other side of the ground must've pulled it inside. The length of the boundary ropes do not change. You do the math. Period. Also, I always appreciated Vaughny for speaking his heart out. Happy or not that's another discussion.
To be fair, the planning for this h tournament has been shocking. Not having a reserve day for a Semi Final, is inexcusable. That being said, the best team did indeed win and full credit to them for that. They should build a statue of SKY in his home city, because that catch was indeed the one to win the match.
*In Final, people do end up few runs short, look knocks of T20 WC FINAL WINNERS Marlon, Kieswetter, Gambhir, Stokes, they were all mature, clutch knocks like Virat, not just some intent merchant. It was incredible knock, him being there allowed others to take extra risk too as he was still notout even after early wickets. That was a great total for a T20WC Final*
I don't know if the Professor was being sarcastic or not, but it was good to see that Vaughan was not having any of that conspiracy theories. Very nicely done.
Guys, it doesn't matter whether the catch was clean or not. Bottom line is that India remain champion for next 2 years. Was this discussion on if it had been Eng or Aus
*I think some who don't understand cricket, can forgive all other batters for not being at best in Final as it's pressure, but when it comes to Virat they want him to BE AT BEST. Watching Vaughan say he's happy that India won reminds me of the time when I used to say I'm happy my younger brother got the bigger portion of the birthday cake 🤧

England has so many football clubs yet they havent won any WC title since 1966. Your team used to behave like privileged jerks when they used to tour India. Dravid has exposed how they used to be given shabby treatment on their tours to England and even Australia without proper culture based meals or training pitches And these Aussies and Poms have the audacity to point fingers at India. Hearing all this, my support for BCCI policies is getting stronger.
This is a cricket podcast title says world cup review and I’m in 10-15 mins talk about everything but cricket. Secondly the title says t20 world champions so start praising my team and stop talking nonsense. Miss gilly. Big cheers guys.
Yes, until Bumrah it was never been South Africa's game. India knew well that just one wicket of Klassen then they will walk through South Africa, exactly the same happened. People say SAF chocked but it was very calculative game to win for India.
Ollie trying to find reasons to believe India somehow didn’t win this fairly is funny 😂 The foot did not touch the boundary cushion, that is it. When the ball goes to the boundary and a player while diving or sliding moves the cushion away, the cushion usually comes back to its normal place, but we’ve seen before that sometimes it doesn’t come back to its original position completely. This isn’t the first time it has happened. Move on. South Africa deserved to win this until the 18th over was bowled. It’s not like one used one’s bat to stop the ball hitting the stumps and got 4 extra runs in the process. 😄
@@jetpark3743 this is what I got from MCC - “19.2.1 Wherever practicable, the boundary shall be marked by means of a continuous white line or by an object in contact with the ground. 19.2.2 If the boundary is marked by means of a white line, 19.2.2.1 the edge of the line nearest the pitch shall be the boundary.” It says that the boundary shall be marked by the means of white line or by and object - the object being the boundary cushion, right? So, if the boundary is marked by an object, i.e. the cushion, what’s there to object? People are going mad over the cushion being pushed back. Not sure if this rule applies. Let me know if you meant something else.
@@jetpark3743 Well then humor me, if a ball were to land exactly on the ropes/foam on the boundary And the 3rd umpire gets called in to check if its a SIXER ... does he ever base his decision on this line ?? Nobody bothers about these rules till India has won... bunch of sore losers getting together pretending to be backslapping buddies is who they are...
Well this World Cup would be remembered for a long long time in all of our memories... I lost hope between 12 to 15 overs when klaasen was going nuts but at last we won!!! 🥹🫂
Indian audience are maximum audience of cricket and also India contribute maximum monetarily so it is obvious that timing has to be according to the Indian standard time
So Vaughan thinks the pitches are different for two teams - but it’s not the quality of players to win any pitch that matters? But pacy and bouncy pitches are fine for all, correct?
Indian cricket is bigger than then all the other nations combined. So its natural that our competiors will like us to lose. Sad thing is we gave them the satisfaction for 11 years .
Vaughan simply won't accept that India is a top side. It's funny how when England win he won't mention friendly conditions but whenever India wins it's always favourable conditions. People like him simply won't accept that India is winning games by playing better cricket
@@ThousandsThoughts-si4mt bro gora chatu is a really funny term 🤣. I should spend more time with you. I genuinely think though that Vaughan was trying to diss England more here.
What would have vaughan said? If India won the final like the way England won, in 2019 WC Benstokes bat dashing the ball while running for the 2nd run which was given boundary. If everything favors your team you will agree if not you guys don't agree. WTF!!!!
So recently official explain that boundary line Mark issue ,he said that line is mark of old boundary and bcz in every game boundary fix according to on which pitch game was playing .so that's why there was an mark
Huge respect to Anderson but out of his 700 test wickets, he has 450 in England and his next best is 68 in Australia from all those Ashes... So he is a great bowler in England but how many would take him outside England?
The boundary issue in Surya's catch is actually legitimate. And if you read the laws, the issue becomes scary. Anyway, it should have been dealt with before the ball was bowled. It's an error of the match officials. And what a great catch from Surya!
So, in T20 bilateral or Triseries, all knows about games, pitches, locations!!! Does knowing the pitch guarantee a win? 10.30AM cricket is for both teams, isn't it so? How Vaughan says, Indians don't like truth!!! Team of 15 selected by each team. They had to play well to reach Semis!!!!
23:59 the cushioning is always adjusted according to the centre pitch which is being used for the game And it’s fair for Aussies and Englishmen to look for conspiracies because the only way they know to win is via conspiracies & the rain No hard feelings 😊
Also India winning the WC harms brands like Ashes and English cricket and Oz cricket. This insecurity shd be better handled.I thot I will get access to content which is exclusively about India winning the WC.
As per rule 19:1:1 custion is the actual boundary. 19:2:2 will be only applied for a particular delivery. It will be only six if some one shift that boundary just before that ball or sky replace it before catching the ball. But that did not haopend. Nothing has been proved. In each game boundary ropes has been changed bcz pitches are different. They had to adjust rope before each game with changing the pitch. It could be as same as ball one. Nothing has been proved. Some fan said it was northje who shifted the rope to save the boundary of kohli in first over. If thats true 39 overs of game is same with that rope. One indian tv presenter said and proved it was same from ball one. It was shifted from start to adjust the boundary as pitch changed. But people are crying on rule 19:3:3 but it will be applied just during a single delivery of the game. If some fielder shifted it during delivry or fielder shift it during fielding then it will be applied. When bowler is on mark, the cushion is final which shaun pollock explained and its icc playing condtion.
Mr Vaughan you accused that India knew semifinal venue before hand. England too knew it in 2019 about Birmingham semifinal. Also unlike the case of England who was favored by Dharmasena I'm giving four over throws, India didn't get any favours. 2019 WC belongs to newzealand.
How come the catch becomes controversial, while it had been referred to and checked by the third umpire ? What if the boundary ad hoarding line had been pulled inside the white line and SKY would have touched it ? So, no need to debate, just accept the result as is !
i have been following this podcast for a while now & it is one of the best & funniest cricket podcast out there, as an Indian, Seeing the horrendous comment section makes me sad. This pod is misunderstood by my fellow Indians, its like people have lost their humour somewhere)
It's a parallax effect btwn the spike of sky, the grass and the bottom of the cushion (white line). If you watch full vedio and zoom from both angle it's some grass plugged out and comes off in front of white line of blue cloth (cushion). More clear from RHS angle. You can check it from icc uploaded vedio or hotstar. Some pak and SA fan spread a vedio of 3 sec from LHS angle with in appropriate zoom angle and poor quality vedio. Too make more confusion. That bottom of cushion was 1 or 2 cm behind to touch the shoe. It's grass comes off with some soil. Parallax effect. That's why education is important.
That vedio is joke. It's a vedio of poor resolution resulting optical illusions. It's parallax effect btwn the bottom of cushion, the feet of sky and the grass which plugged out.
Vaughany - what about league matches of England . What about league matches of England in 2023 world cup. What about last test series of England vs India 4-1 . Just accept this . They r blind hitter .
Congratulations Indian team, but nothing compared 50 over World Cup win in 2011 which checks your Talent & Endurance, India should have Won more T20 World Cup till now as we forget IPL is held here every year , also a request to the BCCI please make the T20 World Cup to be held every 4 years
Truth?? The truth is it was pre decided and all the board agreed upon it just like in wc 2023 even Pakistan knew they will play their semi final in Kolkata regardless of the table but they didn't qualify same in 2011 semi final was scheduled somewhere else but then Pakistan reached their so they moved it to Mohali same happened in 1996 these venues are known to everyone and about timing it's on broadcaster if you have any complaints with that then it's your problem and in finals you can saw the pitch favouring south Africa so how can you say everything favour india when they played on the toughest pitch in new york and then moved to carribbean you seems to be lost in your own World
Ah, my dear chum, these blokes are an absolute treat, aren’t they? They’re practically sipping their Earl Grey tea, all posh and proper, while secretly clutching their monocles. ‘Oh, pip-pip, old chap,’ they say, ‘we simply can’t survive without those delightful Indian viewers and their rupees!’ But do they appreciate India? Oh, heavens no! It’s like they’ve mistaken the Taj Mahal for a glorified cricket pavilion. Cricket, you see, is their sacred ritual-like a Sunday service at St. Ignorance’s Cathedral. They’ll happily pocket the dosh from Indian sponsors, but when it comes to acknowledging India’s cricket prowess, they’re as clueless as a hedgehog in a maze. Quite the conundrum, really!”
Also he did not touched the rope. The leaked vedio creat confusion bcz its not taken from r8 angle and with less quality. Its grass which plugged out and make confusion baby. Sky rubbed the ground and the ground is like mat of grass. During running and frctional force some grass with some soil plugged out which was clear from RHS angle that gree gass comes off on the white border of blue cloth. In LHS it will be clear if you watch it for more close during zoom. That his feet only can touch white border of the cloth and that rope was vertically aligned not was on the ground. When sky left that place some external substahce was visible in front of white line but when feet was not their was no such substance. Its grass which plugged out and comes off towards white border of blue cloth. But that white border line was at same position and it was slightly behind (0.7 to 1 cm) and the blue cloth was not perturbed during that incudent. Which prove it was grass plugged out and it makes confusion from one angle (pople using worse possible way to prove it wrong). Those grass was in front of white line. But that white line had cm distance from where grass were. So its fair. Do it scientifically using some physcis if needed.
