Sick and tired of these asinine comments by folks who have not bothered to look at the Budget document EVER in their lives. Someone tell these folks, what they are asking for will result in the entire non-Defence Capital Expenditure of the Govt. of India to go from around $100 Billion to just $25 Billion or less. Infrastructure spending will tank. Followed by the economy. Eventually followed by the Defence itself. Someone also tell these folks that increasing defence budget makes no sense when the Forces themselves have such atrocious force planning and procurement wish lists that make exactly zero sense. Almost our entire Army still wears 1970s fiberglass helmets yet the Army somehow has 300 Crore Rupees to waste on importing 100 robotic mules from USA just to carry 10 kg upto 10 km distance in the mountains. Remember, the Army still has 6000 real, living mules that do the same job in a much more cost effective and better manner. And you want to give more money to these guys?

@@death_parade i have read budgets probably way more than u 🤷‍♂️ but forget the economics, work on ur maths.. what 100bn 25bn are u saying.. 😂 we wany govt to spend 3% of GDP on Defense.. u arent mathing bro😂 we have always been doing 2.5-2.8% well upto 2018-2019.. nd then govt started reducing even when our economy went from 2.5T to 4T, our budget percentage allocation for defense decreased.. whole world uses straight 3% budget.. our 60% of budget goes in salary pension and stuff.. nd mr keyboard warrior dont tell forces what to procure what not to.. therez a difference between emergency procurements in the hands of forces, nd then comes bigger deals which only go via govt to govt deals.. know the basics of working of forces.. india is not a military dictatorship its a democracy, so dont blame the forces for funding and delays. Get some knowledge and facts.. nd then write whateverbs u wrote

Its still much less than needed we been waiting for big orders like jets from 17+ years pls dont delay it more what use wil be our forex if china attacks us ? We need to take out contingency fund extra of over 150 billion usd just for modernization alone to be spend in next 5 years and from this year make budget itself 100 billion usd and increse to 150-180 billion usd per year in next 5 years unless we strong we cant peace

@@stardust3722 Nope. That's just a lie you Indians keep telling yourself. Ask yourself is Tejas Mk1 10x cheaper than F-16? Or is Brahmos 10x cheaper than Storm Shadow missile? All the figures are online. Nothing India produce is 10x cheaper than the west. India does not have a proper streamlined military industrial complex like the west or China to bring the cost down. Only advantage India has it's pathetic salary they pay thier engineers and scientist... that can only go so far to lower the cost..most electronic components still need to be imported at high price as India does not have a semiconductor industry..
