While Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping met in person for the first time in five years, at the the BRICS summit held on October 23-24, 2023, their discussions did not culminate in a formal agreement or resolution to the ongoing border disputes As of now, there has been no direct statement issued by Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the recent agreement between India and China concerning this “deal break through “. They did not resolve key issues at two primary friction points: Depsang and Demchok. These locations remain under a type of unresolved standoff. The satellite imagery developments has not been fully corroborated by Chinese officials. Chinese media and government representatives have been notably reserved on confirming any significant withdrawals or adjustments to their positions. Current satellite imagery does show some movement, but it remains unclear if the extent matches Indian media reports suggesting significant disengagement. However, it’s important to note that while the Indian media portrays the meeting as a breakthrough, the lack of concrete outcomes or signed agreements has led to a more cautious interpretation from analysts. Chinese media, on the other hand, have maintained a stance focusing on achieving stability and control. From their perspective, the border “buffer zones” along the Line of Actual Control may be perceived as a semi-permanent feature, implying a Chinese belief that it has achieved de facto control over disputed areas since 2020. We are set up to monitor and clarify misinformation and report to authorities if deemed necessary
"Prime Minister Modi needs to be very careful in managing relationships between BRICS nations and Western allies. He must choose his alliances wisely, not as a traitor, but as a leader navigating complex geopolitical waters. The recent visit from the Chancellor of Germany was not merely a diplomatic courtesy; it served as a subtle reprimand, suggesting that Western allies might view India unfavorably for aligning with Russia, China, and other BRICS members. Additionally, questions arise regarding India's decision to purchase submarines from Germany instead of from Russia or China. Modi's role in this situation is indeed challenging, as he balances competing interests on the global stage."
War is the future of india vs china vs asian nation...... but in this china has upper hand ....India Is poor with less investment with talented people leaving and asian nation are not very smart to take action in big geopolitical game rather being slave to big powers. And west enjoy western hiopcrates and control profit from war in world and China use western profit for expansion.
Shame that Indian language has no this phrase " Mutual respect and mutual interest" such that the Indian prime minister has to use this phrase in English.
Already very clear. Those countries that are in BRICS vs The West (not in BRICS). India and China are more concerned about the world economy growth when so many military conflicts now. Sides has been chosen. Wiser for China and India to cooperate.
Lie, China is more concerned with winning a war against the US. China ONLY did this to isolate India (which is as of now a major global power) from the US, so as to weaken the US in the event of the ww3 that China is plotting
Chinese Army should step back from LAC.. Never underestimate new bharat. Always think about what russia facing.. Stay together with full respect otherwise india have back up plan .. You going to loose everything. We Indians don't to want see one of the other Ancient power end.
😂 leave China alone they're not even talking about it. Every day China China 🇨🇳. Don't u wanna pay attention to ur population living in poor condition.
Trust -worthy India? - from Google - the "Henderson Brooks - Bhagat Report opined that the 1962 war was triggered by India's forward policy". - Could this be the reason why the Report has not been published after 60+ years. What is there to hide???
Well-why not reach out to Pakistan-another nuclear armed neighbor India should improve relations with.Zero upside to having unhappy nuclear armed neighbors. We-USA- are constantly berated by India when we suggest this; and when we attempt to stay on good relations with Pakistan.We-USA-have no reason to not want good relations with India Pakistan China.China and India were good allies in WW2-Russia on the other hand-was a NAZI ally beginning WW2- so cautious when dealing with them.

China never relinquished their claims to South Tibet while India never once mentioned about Aksai Chin. Judging from this, it is clear that India backed down on the border disputes. China would never do that, look at how serious they were with South China Sea

India's economy is slowing down and unemployment is rising fast. Modi needs Chinese investments desperately, since FDIs into India this year is just a fraction of the previous year. That explains why Modi is willing to make concessions on the border issue, just to be able to meet President Xi Jinping at the BRICS Summit. Indians would dispute this because no indian media would dare to tell them the truth, lest they end up like Pannun. Or worse, Nijjar
LOL. You are telling it in reverse way. Indian employment is up and Chinese employment is going down. Business in china are falling like pack of cards. Business people are disappearing and growth is distant futre. so every one knows what is going on except you guys.

@@Red.bulldozer3 "Nehru’s deal with China is much better for China" - could be good for India too if Nehru had had briefed the parliament and hence the Indian public with the full picture of Sino-Indian relationship .He talked publicly only of Hindi Chini Bhai Bhai but never about existing confrontation btw the 2 countries especially regarding border issues. He told the Indian public that not an inch of territories was negotiable while privately he wanted to negotiate - to give away Aksai Chin in return of China's recognition of the McMahon Line. That's why he described Aksai Chin as a place where "not a blade of grass" grew there in parliament. He accepted that Tibet belonged to China and agreed not to interfere with the internal affairs of China but went to greet in person when the Dali Lama escaped to India - an inappropriate diplomatic signature. It is therefore very unfortunate for both countries that India had had Nehru as its first PM. As for China got Tibet for free - as the saying goes - early bird catches worm. Anyway India had never been in a position to compete with China over Tibet.
@@WongPeter-tx7qq It is fortunate for china , Nehru was the first indian PM of india Had it been Patel or Bose , it would been different for tibet and aksai chin
@@Red.bulldozer3 Had it been Patel or Bose - why? as both left the political stage early 1950 & 1945 respectively so no idea of their policies toward Tibet or Aksai Chin. You think a responsible Indian leader should treat those unilaterally drawn boundary lines as non-negotiable just like Nehru had? How about the 11 dash/9 dash lines unilaterally drawn by China in the SCS. Do you think those affected Asian countries should or should not challenge China's position and why India should be treated any differently regarding lines unilaterally drawn by the British Raj?
Mr. Avtar Singh Bhasin, an Indian author and historian in one of the podcasts on RU-vid featuring him had warned that Indian should be educated about what's actually happened from 1947 to 1962 in relation to Sino-Indian border issues lest Modi would be accused of giving away territories to China. For detail pls watch one of the podcasts with the title "India’s stand on China border irrational but Nehru’s handling was irresponsible". Note those words IRRATIONAL AND IRRESPONSIBLE
This is truly inspiring news, like a music to the ears of all the peace loving people in the two Asian neighbors, as well as in the world. India and China will cooperate to accelerate their transformation into global manufacturing centers, with seamless integration with global supply chain. Emerging power like India and China cannot let their development and cooperation be kidnapped by border disputes. Look at Japan and S. Korea. These two East Asia neighbors can sit down for negotiations and cooperations, despite of their long time unsolved disputes over the sovereignty of the Liancourt Rocks in the sea between them. That is political wisdom and diplomatic maturity on full display. Other countries such as China and India can definitely learn from S. Korea and Japan to manage their difference on borders, LAC, or whatever, and develop their relationship for the benefit of their economy and their people. Never forget the fact that, The US, as an outsider, with its infamous "divide and conquer" tricks, doesn't want to see BRICS countries developing fast together. They'd rather see the two neighboring Asian giants fighting, hurting and weakening each other, to maintain their domination in Indo-Pacific for their own geopolitical interests. The US will never put India's interest as its promise. On the contrary, Washington can put any Indian entities or individuals on its sanction list for whatever reason they can have, to put pressures on India government, in order to get what the US want.
Yes, that is true but what makes you think China will not do the same? It’s shown that by dumping their stuff all over the world , they have destroyed whole industries all over the world. If anything , China is capitalism on steroids
It was Nehru who had fooled the Indian. Both India and China will fare much better this time as Nehru is no longer around. The only significant and nasty barrier left is super nationalists and poorly informed Indian like you. These ignorant people might end up accusing Modi for being soft and/or giving away "Indian territories" to China. Indian and the world should be told the truth so pls publish the Henderson Brooks - Bhagat Report asap to stop people like you from spreading fake ideas.
The answer of who had fooled the Indian can be found by watching podcasts on RU-vid featuring an Indian historian and scholar - Mr. Avtar Singh Bhasin. The title of one of the podcasts is "India’s stand on China border irrational but Nehru’s handling was irresponsible". Note those words IRRATIONAL AND IRRESPONSIBLE.
Ronald Reagan said "trust but verify" regarding Soviet Russia. India can adopt that posture vis a vis China to make sure no hanky panky is played by the other side.
At least in China's view, India has no intention of easing the situation. This time, it is just that winter has arrived and India's logistics system can no longer maintain the military confrontation between China and India. At least that's how we Chinese see it. India will definitely continue the military conflict with China after the weather warms up.
